About a week had passed. Jack had managed to keep a pretty decent fire going and hunt for food because by that time they were out of stuff from their bags. He didn't sleep much. Only 15 to keep 20 minute naps every so often, and at night he stayed up to protect his wife.

A week had passed, and Cecilie was exhausted. The only time she slept was whenever Jack insisted that she should, and she felt dirty. "Are we ever getting out of here?" she asked quietly as she tried to strike up a fire for the night.

Jack nodded. "I'm sure we will eventually."

Cecilie looked over at him and sighed, running a hand through her tangled hair. She sat back from the pile of sticks in front of her and shook her head. "How long have we even been here?"

"A week," he said, sitting by her. "Come here baby.,"

Cecilie sighed and leaned into him. She rested her head against his chest. "I just want to go home."

Jack hugged her. "I know. I do too."

Cecilie sighed quietly and brought herself closer to him. "I know you do. I'm sorry."
