Josie whimpered as she watched her mother. It was traumatising for the young pup. She had never seen death, nor pain, nor blood except for her own... And she was faced with this... By her own mother's fangs. "Mummy.... I'm scared."

Chako ran to Josie and nuzzled her. "I'm sorry hon. I didn't mean to frighten you. Let's go home." She nodded a thank you to the other wolf.

Josie was rooted to the spot, her eyes wide, her body shaking. She had never been so scared in her life. "Mummy... I'm scared!" She backed away from Chako, whining loudly.

Chako's eyes began to express hurt. "O-okay. I'll, i'll just go then," she said, her ears going back. she put her tail between her legs and began walking. The fear of her daughter began to strike her like the humans rock that shot from their fire-sticks.

Josie bounded after Chako, whining. "I'm sowweh mummy... Forgive me?"

"Of course..AH!" Chako fell down gasping. Blood spilled from her neck wound. "Hurry! Get help!" she coughed, blood flying along with her words.

Josie threw back her head and howled as loudly as she could for Rako, Ghost, Willow, who ever.

Ghost pricked up his ears, running over. "Oh god... Chako..." He started treating her wounds immediately, taking every bit of care he could. "This is not good. Not good at all. What have you been doing?!?"

"Protecting my children," Chako coughed. She looked at Josie and smiled. She was happy to have saved her from the wolves who thought her to be food. "Don't be sad if I die. If i do, tell you siblings and Yara that I'll be back and never regret how i did die."

Josie buried her face in Chako's fur, whining softly. "No mummy! You can't die. You can't die." She started crying into Chako's fur, her whole body shaking. "Don't leave me."

"I never said I will, I might," Chako said, licking her daughter's head. It wasn't Chako's time, not yet.
