Short story - The first time this Kit met its favourite animal : (600 words max)
Arzon stretched as he rose to his paws from a lovely night’s sleep. He was well-rested and tempted to go to the town to watch the humans as they did their unusual activities. Arzon was intrigued by the creatures. They would always be doing something odd and unprecedented. Arzon loved it and so off he went to his usual spot, a nice hill near the village.
Once he arrived at his hill he realised that there was something new about the area. There were little shiny things dotted around that looked sharp and dangerous. Arzon was surprised to see that it was a human leaving these things around. The human looked odd and slightly shady but that did not put the foolish kit off. Arzon stumbled down the hill to see this human. Finally! I will get to meet a human in person! Arzon thought with glee as he bolted towards the human, avoiding the odd pointy things. "Hello there human!" He yelled, hoping to get the humans attention in order to befriend him.
Arzon watched as the human turned around and pulled an odd item out of his 'pelt'. "Hello, what's your name?" Arzon asked the human with glee, trying to make conversation. The human didn't seem to understand him, but he pointed the weird object in Arzon's direction. Arzon stared at the object which he had never seen before, jumping with surprise when the human fell to the side and a female kit pulled him away. "What were you doing out there?!" The female kit yelled once they were far away. "You could have gotten yourself killed!" Arzon stared at the female kit in bewilderment. "Why would such a wonderful creature harm me?" he asked, confused. The female kit replied with "yes, humans are wonderful creatures, but, like some kits, they can't all be trusted, some will bring you harm for almost no reason. Be careful". Arzon watched as the female padded off into the bushes, seeing that she had a scar on her back leg. Did the humans do that to her? he thought as he padded back towards the hill, but he turned away before reaching it. Maybe she's right... he said to himself. Some time had passed but he had never forgotten her words, though he had met many nice humans since then. "Just because one is bad doesn't mean they all are. Don't let one thing put you off"
