ˢᵗᵒʳᵐᶜˡᵒᵘᵈ licked his paw and swiped it over his ear, getting fidgety. Normally he could be as still as a statue for hours on end if needed. But curiosity made him nervous, and he found himself moving around while he sat. A paw-flick there, a tail wave there. He squinted, searching for any sign of the leader. When Whitestar and Morningsound returned, he gave his leader a respectful nod. His eyes burned with a thousand questions, but the sun was setting. He would have to talk with the leader later, and find out what was happening to Morningsound. He hoped she could stay, she seemed nice. As the sun began to set, he handed the guard position over to another warrior and went to the den. He would speak with Whitestar later. He settled into his nest, knowing it would take him a minute to sleep with so many thoughts in his head.

Larkstar smiled, glad her new apprentice wasn't too upset. As he padded obediently away, she went to her private den and sighed. Perhaps things would ameliorate now. She curled up to wash her tabby pelt, eyes shut as she did so. Once finished she lay down, wishing for the ease of sleep to come quickly.

ᵛᵒˡᵉᵖᵃʷ Volepaw sat in his nest, glancing at Ivypaw when her best friend was mentioned. "Yes, Ebonypaw and Featherpaw. They went out a while ago, they're probably heading back by now." He noticed the Black and white she-cat stiffen a little. Ivypaw was sensitive when it came to Ebonypaw, and Volepaw realized this was the first time he had seen them apart. He looked back at Wolfpaw, sensing the younger tom's caution. He would come to see it wasn't needed- all of the apprentices were usually kind enough.

ᶤᵛʸᵖᵃʷ Ivypaw did stiffen when she heard Ebonypaw's name. She was worried about him, and wondered why he'd stayed out so late. They must be having fun. She buried her nose deeper into her own fur with a shiver, blocking out the noise of the other apprentices.

Wolfpaw calmed a little after he heard the answer from Volepaw. He let out a short, respectful meow to show he acknowledged Volepaw's answer. Wolfpaw decided it might be a little awkward for him when the two apprentices arrive back at the den, So he tried to close his eyes and drift off to sleep, but it felt like he was as restless as ever. He was used to the kit den's warm rising and falling sleeping Queen bodies, and the funny sleeping positions where the kits practically slept on top of each other. Even so, Wolfpaw managed to drift off before Volepaw or Ivypaw could notice his sleeping troubles. He hoped the three could become close friends soon.

Morningsound nodded. "I'll take the warriors den, then." She glanced at his den and the medicine den as he pointed them out. There was never a 'medicine cat' back in the hunting group. If you got hurt, you got left behind. She awkwardly walked into the warrior's den, wary of the cats already nesting in it. Before she fully entered the den entrance, she looked back at Whitestar. " I thank you and your clan for your hospitality." and with that, she stepped carefully through the den and found a vacant corner. She curled up in a ball and almost immediately fell asleep. She didn't even notice that all the other cats in the den had scruffs of nests they were sleeping on. She didn't care. It must have been days since her last full night of sleep. She was finally at peace.

[ dawnclan camp ] [ alone ] [ putting herbs away ]
Poppyfrost grasped the feverfew pile between her teeth and gently placed it in its slot, careful to not puncture any part of it. The camp was strangely quiet, and after the prophecy, she felt unsettled and wary in the dark. She had chosen to notify Larkstar of the prophecy the next morning, after Poppfrost's heart stopped jumping at the slightest rustle. Once her head cleared and she could think clearly, she'd try to decipher the words of the prophecy. At the moment, all she could think was, "Why would they send her? Why would they bring back my grief in full?" She couldn't fathom why StarClan would want her to feel this pain as fresh as the day Lilypond had died.

Brookepaw curled her tail over her nose, trying to keep the fur out of her nostrils as she took a deep breath. She peeked at the stars from her nest, imagining each pinprick as a StarClan cat and smiling at the notion. Her smile vanished as she wondered, "Is Galekit up there?" An icy wave passed over her, and she desperately pushed the thought away. Too late, she shut her eyes and tried to sleep, but the wave had carried her into harsh consciousness and wouldn't let go.

- i don't believe much has happened. wolfpaw is learning the ways of the apprentices, cats are getting ready to sleep, and normal things like that. it hasn't even been a full page!

Mistbreeze rose from her spot and walked over and into the warriors den. Many of her clan mates where settling down for the night and she though it best she do so to. She padded over to her den in the far side and made herself comfortable.

ˢᵗᵒʳᵐᶜˡᵒᵘᵈ woke in the warriors' den. He was probably the only one awake, besides Whitestar. Stretching, he quickly cleaned his pelt before trotting out into the early morning light. He sat in the center of camp, organizing patrols in his head so he would be ready when everyone woke up. The apprentices all needed training, so he would have the mentors take the young cats out. Prey was average, so only one patrol for now. The border could have one patrol as well, since Dawnclan hadn't done anything lately. Maybe they had their own problems.

ˡᵃʳᵏˢᵗᵃʳ got up that morning around the same time as most of the others. She walked out of her den, eyes sparkling. When Wolfpaw came out of the apprentices' den she called to him. "Wolfpaw, why don't we go tour the borders?" Larkstar's tail curled over her back as she looked proudly at her strong new apprentice. He would do well, she was sure.

ᵛᵒˡᵉᵖᵃʷ shivered as the warmth crept from his pelt. The other apprentices were leaving, and he had no-cat to keep him warm. With a sigh, he stood and yawned, flicking his paw. He walked out of the den, looking around for his mentor. They hadn't gone out in a while, surely they would train today? Volepaw glanced through the familiar faces, noticing how each cat seemed happy. Why did Mousepaw have to leave? He was always alone now.

ᶤᵛʸᵖᵃʷ got up, careful not to disturb Ebonypaw as she left the den. The tom was probably tired, she would let him sleep for once. Ivypaw sat with the other cats as Fallenheart listed the patrols. Hopefully she could train with the deputy today, since he was her mentor. She'd been practicing some new battle moves, and she wanted to hear his opinion.
