indenta sudden awkwardness settled around the small group. scout wanted nothing more then to cower under a table and hide from the mess. but her eye's only widened as marcy talked about hurting the preps when phillip had just walked up. 'marcyyy....' scout whined under her breath trying to find an escape from the situation. the elephant in the room was growing larger by the second and that's when marcy decided to bring up the 'alone' during the school dance part. she whipped around too marcy and quickly gave her a look. true marcy and scout would usually camp out at one another's houses and watch movies instead of going to dances. but that wasn't supposed to be made public. of course she loved marcy, but the preps were here... not to mention her crush and a bunch of other boys near the group. brushing her hair back over her eyes again, scout looked downs and tugged at the hem of her black kitten jumper, then readjusted her glasses on the bridge of her nose. with all the people, scout suddenly became self conscious. see scout had just a small but of crowd anxiety. this was small. she's been to New York once... never again. this crowd anxiety also had to deal into the fact of why she avoided dances and school social events. suddenly feeling awkward scout started shuffling ever so slightly away from the group. but then bella came up and waved at scout. back to reality, little girl scout thought to herself
indent'hey bella' scout said a bit louder to clear the tensin. 'are you and phillip going to the dance?'

sorry, I didn't have much to work with.

"I would hardly call that rude, it's simply getting what you want." Mark argued, looking around the people at other tables before returning his gaze to Beatrice. Turning what she'd said over in his mind, he shrugged again, setting down the spoon and drinking from the water bottle he pulled from his backpack to wash away the taste of the pudding. "That's true, I suppose. Anyway I'm sure you'd be able to learn how to make a sandwich or a simple soup some time on down the line." the blonde pointed out, but let it be after that. Soon the water was gone and Beatrice was speaking again. If she'd stepped over a boundary, Mark would make sure to let her know as best he could without being rude. "No...nothing like that, don't worry about that. You'll know if you do," he said with a soft laugh.

"So what do you think of the whole masquerade ball thing?" Mark asked after word had spread through the rush in the world. He wouldn't be going, the sanctity of his home surrounded by books, music, and incense with hardly anyone around to disturb him were the better things in life for the freak he thought. Besides, Plastics and preppies almost always seemed in a mad dash to steal the spotlight in dances and balls alike.

      DYLAN WU
      dylan wueighteenfemale.ɢᴀᴍᴇʀ ᴛᴀɢ -- ray
      ᴛᴀɢɢᴇᴅ -- no one
      ʙᴇsᴛ ғʀɪᴇɴᴅs -- derrick
      ᴍᴏᴏᴅ -- terrified & scared.
      ᴇɴᴇᴍɪᴇs -- phillip
      ʀᴇʟᴀᴛɪᴏɴsʜɪᴘ -- mat.

i headed for the entrance doors. as i reach out for the bars, my finger tips
gently brush against its cool metal surface, and a spark ran down my spine. snapping out
of my slight daze, i gave a forceful push, and the double doors opened, revealing the school's
halls for the one thousandth time. as i walk through the halls and too my locker, i hear the doors
softly shut behind me with a 'chi-clack'. i shifted my head towards the clock that sits on the very
top of the wall, where it says 'lunch'. butterflies started to multiply when it hit me.
i was late. late again third time this week, so quickly changing my destination,
i headed for the front office and held my breath for another lecture.
      ---
walking out of the front office, i held my place, placed my arms on my head
and stretched with a yellow slip slightly waving as i move. ahhh!
feels like i've been there for hours...
my eyes dart place to place until i catch
the cafeteria. yes, it's still lunch. a party was going in my head
not to mention my stomach was waiting for the guest, after a another stretch i
sprinted for the doors where all of the students awaited.

pushing the doors open, the strong smell of this special meatball sub quickly made
home to my nose, then eventually made its way to my waiting stomach. thankfully, it
didn't make any sounds, so i prayed that it wouldn't make sounds of a matings call
of a whale. so, strutting my way to the trays, i picked one already packed with variety of
foods, took them and made my way too my friends.

      name: finnigan kohara

---------Finn's main goal when he started high school was to surround himself with people that wanted to be there for him and that was mainly the reason he tried to stay away from the plastics and preppies. Most of them were plotting behind each other's back and Finn didn't want to be in such kind of a (un)friendly circle. Although, ironically he was friends with at least a good number of them, and those who he didn't befriend were part of his unforgiving and (unfortunately) inseparate family. It was not like he didn't like his cousin or anything but it was difficult to see the connection between the two. Bella being one of the most popular and sought after girls of Trinity High and it's affiliates and him being a stay at home gamer that would choose a joystick over any 'joy' bringing social activity. But be it coincidence or not, most of the friends he had were girls. Most meaning like 95% percent of them. The only exception being Matthew and a few others over the years that he rarely spoke to now. There was Lily, the nerd; Victoria, a girl Finn loved like his own sister; Arabella, a preppie; Ray, just some girl he met online and Elizabeth Watson, his next door neighbor and the girl whom he told everything.

---------Finn never had a best friend but Ellie was the one thing he had closest to. So when she approved of his decision he was satisfied. Finally she had accepted the girl he liked and Finn couldn't help but get excited at the thought. It was a long way from say to do for the boy but it was time to get planning. Whenever he tried to speak to Scout his knees would get weak, his intestines tied in knots, and he was usually left with his tongue out like a dog with its head out of a moving car's window - which was definitely not attractive nor interesting for any of the aforementioned parties. It was very annoying and it never stopped bothering Finn because
---------a) it was hard to impress a girl when not only did you look like a 'Dumb and Dumber' version of Jim Carrey but you acted like one too and;
---------b) he never did any of these things when talking to anyone else. not one single person except Scout of course.
He scratched of a phantom itch as he turned around his head to look for Scout, not like he would have asked her then, he needed time to prepare. He finally saw her near the trash can not very far off from their table, for a second he looked into the possibility of her overhearing their conversation but quickly pushed that thought away. She was with a few other people, from which he could easily recognize Bella; his cousin, and Philip; a preppie that he strongly disliked for no apparent reason. He was curious on what the two pairs could have in common, but even more so what Philip had to do with Scout. He knew how the preppies and plastics treated her and he didn't like the fact that she was able to hang out with someone who's best friends insulted her like that. But that was none of Finn's business. "Who do you plan on going with?" he asked returning his gaze and full attention back at Ellie. He couldn't stop wondering what the four of them were talking about, the questions was knocking on Finn's sanity as he tried to hide his eagerness to find out.

STUPID IDEAS ✯

    [ sorry if i've missed anything out ;D ]

LET ME BE YOUR
QUEEN BEE

    name -- fay gilbert
    mood -- tired, fairly happy.
    location -- school
    relationship -- malcolm
    tagged -- Caspian, Bella, Victoria.
wearing -- tank top and shorts.

    ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬
    TELL ME YOU LOVE ME

"oh, she likes it really!" Fay winked at bella, giving a small giggle at her genius idea. fay was very much a girl to do things in the heat of the moment, and right then it seemed like a good thing to do: it drew attention to her, and broke the ice with the whole ball thing.
Fay saw Caspian look over at Arabella. It was obvious the boy had a crush on her- she often heard him flirting with her, staring at her- when he was in class she could almost hear him thinking of the girl. Fay was a plastic. she knew everything about everyone. through gossip, manipulation, flirtation, and her general analysis skills. a small twinge pulled at her heart. the brunette knew celest wouldn't mind showing up to the dance with the famous caspian.

from across the hall, victoria caught the girl's eye. she always knew where her high school nemesis' were. everything was always ticking at the back of her mind, pushing down, pressure to be the best, the most beautiful, to stand out, to be liked- all this was as fragile as glass. fay had to build a wall daily to support it, weather it was through proving her power and dangling herself in front of scouts crush, or setting her friends up for the dance, she had to do it somehow. sometimes it was the goo side of her, other times it was the typical, teenage, female dog. fay kind of knew she was about to get a mouthful from victoria. her crystal blue sapphires picked up that she was moving towards her, and the girl leaned back in her chair, keeping those stunning eyes her mother gave her, locked on the other students frame. victoria stopped in front of the teen. fay raised her perfect eyebrows, listening to every word. the whole time she was thinking of great ways to reply- unfortunately, vic walked away before she could deliver any of her stings. so fay sat there, her mouth hanging open like she couldn't believe what she had just heard. "Gosh! Loosen up, Viks!" she shouted over her shoulder- putting emphasis on 'viks', a nickname no one called her- slamming the lid of her salad closed. "i swear, i'll ruin that girl!" she hissed to Malcolm, her fists clenched at her side, "i was actually doing my friend a favor." she continued, calming down. but this wouldn't be forgotten. "she doesn't know what a favor, or a friend is." the girls finally restored, finishing. "whatever, i'm putting this in the bin." Fay got up, tucked her chair in. in all, she looked a little flustered- she wasn't used to getting shouted at. and usually, she was able to shout back.

edit;; @the supreme -- yes, maybe, i don't really know about
the boys and masks- but i would imagine so.

I sat for a moment, unmoving as my mind had drifted off. To the memory of my entire childhood to the wonderful memory in which I was finally cancer free. It felt a liberating but yet it felt like a piece of me was missing. My finger tips running over the fabric of my shirt where the scar lay beneath. I turned around a bit puzzled as everyone had quiet down. My head turning to one side and then to another as she saw one of the plastics. I stayed quiet as I listened. Instanly I bit down onto my lower lip. Wondering how I should react to this. But all that I wanted to do was laugh. Because she was the typical plastic girl in any movies. I guess you could call her the Regina George of this school.
"And evil takes a human form in Fay Gilbert."
I cocked my head to one side. Satisfied with the connection I have made into the small quota. I looked up at the blonde beauty before me, smiling internally since I refused to use his name. Unless I would have to state it once or twice. I reached forward and took a strawberry from the bowl. "It would seem rude. But I guess whatever you think." I shrugged and bit down onto the strawberry. I stayed quiet as I listened to him. A sandwich would be good, but a soup no. Maybe getting a cute bento box. Then I would be happy about making my own lunch.
"Masquerade?" I thought for a moment before I gave a nod. Though took a moment to think it through. "Well it's seems different.." I muttered. Seeing as I had never been to a school dance or anything. This was difficult to disagree or agree about. I sat up and smiled a bit. "I wanna go... I truly do but I know I'll probably be sitting down through out all the Masquerade. It would just be a waste a time." I answered honestly. I took another strawberry from the bowl. Though a part of me wanted to go. And it wasn't because I didn't have a date. Having a date wasn't the thing that bothered me. "Are you going?" I wondered.

- Ellie

Elizabeth couldn't help but smile quite sincerely when Finn looked so happy. She could almost imagine him with a wagging tail and resisted the urge to pat him on the head like a puppy dog. He just looked so excited, and quite frankly, a happy Finn meant a happy Ellie. Most of the time. Really, on the inside, while she was all grinning on the outside, Elizabeth was feeling more than vaguely disappointed about Finn's taste in girls. She had never liked Scout much, mainly because the girl tried too hard and was a huge wannabe, always trying to claw her way to a higher social status by hanging out with the preppies and sometimes the plastics, although the wannabes tended to annoy the extremely popular ones. Elizabeth wasn't the most popular, but she was definitely higher on the social ladder than Scout. Ellie was an official preppie, and could have become a plastic if she had wanted to, but she was a sight more down-to-earth than most popular girls (and guys) and preferred to be a bit closer to the average people. Most plastics didn't speak to anyone less popular than a preppie, but the preppies tended to be friends with everyone, which was why Elizabeth was allowed to stick with Finn, even if they didn't speak much in school. Her reasons to dislike Scout only grew when the two developed a mutual attraction. However, Finn didn't seem to be able to realize that Scout liked him every bit as much as she liked her. It infuriated Elizabeth to the point where she worried about it nearly all day, and in her spare time, she mourned that Finn was blind to her own affections. It was pretty bad, actually, because Elizabeth rarely ever spent the time or effort to worry about anything, no matter how big. She was normally a happy-go-lucky sort of person who rolled with the punches easily and effortlessly, handling anything life threw at her. Of course, life couldn't throw her a particular next-door neighbor's heart, as much as she wanted it to be hers. Part of the problem was probably that Elizabeth kept her emotions very well-hidden. A good actress, Ellie had kept her crush on Finn a secret for years. Ever since freshman year, and Finn had sort of grown out of that awkward puberty phase, Elizabeth had realized that Finn was very attractive, something he didn't even know himself. Of course, he had always been adorable his entire life, and he was still mostly cute in that adorably awkward sort of way, but he was gradually looking less like a boy and more like a man. Ellie wondered just how long she had liked Finn. She didn't think the crush had started in freshman year. In fact, it had probably started way before that, when they were still just little kids, but it had taken her until high school to figure out why her relationships never lasted. It wasn't because she was afraid of commitment—it was because she hadn't ever gone out with a guy she liked as much as she liked Finn. Sometimes Elizabeth thought she loved him, but then she shook those weird romantic thoughts out the way, stubbornly claiming that love wasn't something you developed so early in high school, and it was something found over time. She didn't think she was mature enough, even as a senior, to fully understand love. She merely dismissed her infatuation with Finn as a puppy crush sort of thing, a puppy crush that refused to fade, as much as she tried to find someone else to fancy.
Still lost in her thoughts, Elizabeth was barely paying attention to Finn, who was almost bursting with excitement at the chance to ask out his crush since like, forever, that she almost didn't notice when he asked her a question. Staring blankly for a minute, she realized he had asked her who she was going with to the masquerade. Laughing humorlessly, she chugged down the rest of her Dr. Pepper before crushing it, enjoying the feeling as she squashed the empty can flat. "I decided a few seconds ago that I'm not going to the dance, actually. I don't have anyone to go with, anyways," As a popular preppie, Elizabeth could probably find a sucker to drag along to the masquerade, but that wouldn't be nearly as fun as going with someone she actually liked. Unfortunately for her, Finn, the person she was going to ask as friends, was planning on asking out Scout as a date. And the rest of Ellie's guy friends seemed to be attached to another girl already, again, as dates, not as friends. Apparently dates to dances overruled friendship, even though Elizabeth herself would gladly ditch a date to hang out with a close enough guy friend. It was just something she did, putting friendship before relationships. That was just Elizabeth. She never really liked dancing anyways. She danced like a dad at prom, which wasn't very good dancing at all.
