Gabe sat down at the cave entrance, giving her, her space. He picks a few feathers for safe keep.
Storm slowly wakes up to stand and run around camp.

[Trika]

When Emma is done preparing the bird and guiding the spirit into the feather she tucks the feather into her braid. Emma then scoots closer to the fire and puts the bird on a spit, starting to cook it.

Talek looks up and watches his colt dance around. Both horses black coats shine in the sunlight and they both have a sturdy frame, although Storm is smaller. Duh. Talek nuzzles Piper softly before grabbing another mouthful of grass.

Storm prances and playfully runs around.
Piper slowly stood, shaking her coat.
Gabe does the same to the other, putting it over the fire.

Talek stands up with Piper and continues to graze as the colt dashes around them. He nuzzles Piper before softly nickering and grooming her coat.

Emma watches as the bird starts to cook. She scotches over to Gabe and sits next to him with her arms hugging her knees.

Gabe leans back with one hand, watching the birds cook. Fire light dancing across his dark tanned skin.
Piper smiles, lifting her head, she began to groom his mane.

[Trika]

Emma sighs and lays down so that her head is in Gabe's lap. She starts to idly draw pictures on his knee while watching the birds cook.

Talek nickers happily as Piper grooms him. He nuzzles her before lowering his head and grazing. Piper was I'm heat again (you had mentioned that earlier) so Talek snorts to get the alluring smell out of his nose.

Piper snorts, dipping her head to graze with a light yawn.
Gabe looks at the then back to the fire.

Emma starts to trace little horses on Gabe's legs before making the horses a background. To Emma the lines are really there and she is derecho not to crowd a drawing with another one.

Talek moves away from Piper and towards the pond. He dips his head to get a drink and get the smell from his nose. After drinking Talek stays there and grazes.

Gabe sighed, grabbing a stick with cooked meat, he handed it to her before grabbing one of his own.
Piper looked to see him move away from her. Ears dropping, she ducked her head. Going back to grazing.

Emma sits up but still leans against Gabe's shoulder. She eats the meat with a smile, still happy about having fresh food. She finishes some of the meat but doesn't actually eat all of it. Emma cuts the remaining pheasant into strips and hangs it in the smoke of the fire to preserve it. She hated wasting things and made an effort to use every part of an animal, including the bones which could be good carving. Emma puts the bones away and stores some of the better feathers with her arrows, they would be needed when she makes more.

Talek continues to graze, munching on grass happily. He moves as the wind shifts, trying to keep Piper's scent away. She was just starting to go into heat, so it wasn't to bad, but Talek avoids the smell anyway.
