For one thing, Talonflame has a way higher base speed stat compared to Blaziken, and since she was using bravebird with the ability Gale Wings her flying moves had speed priority c:
So Blaziken would probably need a lot of speed boosts to out-speed a Talonflame with Gale Wings x.x

You could always give your Blaziken a bunch of speed EVs if it isn't EV trained yet.

I never really pay much attention to EV/IVs especially when I'm playing mainly story. I'll consider speed ev training a torchic though. ^^
