Aliea walked though a grassy feild, the tops of the grass above her head. That was the one thing about being her size, sometimes no-one could see you.

Wyn snorted, taking in the sights and smells of the forest. It was a beautiful day, but she'd never explored these lands before - and she was a little nervous. The unicorn pranced through the soft forest floor, and every once in a while flapped her powerful, owl-like wings to stir up the leaves. There weren't many animals foolish enough to attack one of her race, so she enjoyed a fair amount of freedom from fear... but even so, the unfamiliar territory made her uneasy.

Golden, silky sunlight beamed through the openings in the trees where leaves did not keep it from reaching the ground. An occassional rustle of the grass or twig-snap was the only thing that broke silence. An alarm call rang out and soon enough the skies were filled with panick-stricken aviaries. A bird, perched on a nearby tree, had alerted the whole forst about the presence of a lone figuer. Any prey that may have been in range was long gone by now.

"Ugh! You dumb bird!" the figuer shouted at the bird that alarmed the forest before talking in a lower voice, "How's anyone supposed to get a decent meal here?"

The milky yellow light peered upon the forest, looking for the figuer. A tawny lioness caught it's eye. Her pelt shown with a glossiness that shone like the light it's-self. Her eyes glowed with a pure bightness with a silver-marbled color. She was small and skinny but there was no underestimating the power behind the creatures exterior. She moved along the grasses with clumsiness, yet within her movements there was grace. She slunk along the bushes in search of food. Something caught her attention. Her ears perked up a second before she flattened her body against the ground, hoping to become undetectable. Few leaves flew by before a chilled wind swept against her fur. Her eyes skimmed the horizon. A large shadow appeared, and sent the lionness's adrenaline coursing through her veins. What was it? It was large and winged, too large to be a bird and it's large, defined wings did not remind her of anything she had seen that size before. Was it prey? She crept closer. It's shiny purple coat was unlike anything she had witnessed. What was this thing? She flattened herself down lower to the ground, in hopes of not being spotted if this creature was to be a preditor.
