Chako nudged her daughter along and faced the other wolves. "Touch my daughter and I'll slit your stomachs, take out yer guts and put em in a bowl!!"

"Hi Barti." Came a voice from behind Barti. It was Yuki, but she was still bleeding from the fall...

[SilverHund]

Shade heard a voice that was music to his ears. He charged toward Yuki and skidded to a halt in front of her. He licked her cheek over an over, "I thought you died!"

[Bolt1784]

"I did. But I'm back now. And...I know you had a very brief crush on another wolf..." Yuki sighed. "...The one that rescued you from the river..."

[SilverHund]

"No! That was just me being grateful!" Shade yelped. He was shocked that she would think that.

[Bolt1784]

"Aww, come on, I was joking." Yuki smiled at Shade and licked his cheek. "You're cute when you're worried like that."

[SilverHund]

"Your mean," Shade chuckled.

[Bolt1784]

"You're even meaner." Yuki started trotting off, holding her head high. She stood in the river that ran through the territory and cleaned her bloody fur, making it look shiny and silvery. She shook herself dry and trotted back past Shade, showing off her pretty fur to him.

"That awful and dirty coat could never compare to yours," Shade said. He didn't notice the she-wolf watching them. She was angering by his insults and fast rejection of her. She had disguised her scent so they couldn't smell her.

Yuki smiled and sat down on a rock, looking at Shade with her head tilted to one side. She jumped off of the rock and wagged her tail as she trotted over to him...She circled around him and licked his cheek again.
