Josie bounded after her mum, grinning. This was hoing to be fun!

Rako sniffed the air, the corner of his mouth twitching into a small, but warm, smile. Willow was watching him. He was sure of it...

"I'll get her out." The female sighed. She reached in and took out a very small female pup that wasn't even old enough to walk properly by herself. The pup had soft golden fur and deep brown eyes, just like a golden retriever. "She's very young, I don't know if we can do anything..."

[Solanum]

Rako looked up at the she-wolf. "Don't underestimate me..." He began work on the young pup as soon as she was set down. He worked himself harder and faster than he had ever done before. These pups hadn't had time to live yet, they couldn't die... He wouldn't let them.

The tiny pup looked around in fright, she hadn't seen much of the world yet...

Rako stroked her back, making small crooning noises in an attempt to calm her. "It'll be alright. Don't worry." He licked her head and blinked at Tamashi, asking for his help. Yara could take care of the she-wolf on with Tiga...

Tamashi nodded, letting go of the she-wolf's neck and helping Rako. He grabbed a pup in his jaws and put three more on his back, Rako doing the same.

Together they slowly ran back to Chako's den, placing the pups inside. It was safer in there for them...

"Now I just have to tell my pack..." The she-wolf sighed. She walked out of her camp and was instantly surrounded by her pack.

"We trusted you..." One of them snarled.
"We believed in you!" Another one growled.
"Traitor..."
"You're not a real leader!"
They all closed in on her, baring their fangs aggressively, then they all attacked her at once.
"No, you don't understand!" The she-wolf cried, trying to get away from them.
"We do!" One of them held her down and lifted her chin up to expose her throat. Another wolf came other over, slit her throat and pulled her head back to make the wound bigger...

Chako dug out two more pups, barely alive. "Rako! Over here!" she barked.

Shiva smelled the blood of the she-wolf. At first, fear clutched her heart like claws, but she relaxed when she realized it wasn't Chako's.

Yara and Tiga leapt in front of her, throwing wolves away from her.

Yara stepped closer to the others but was blocked by Tiga. He nodded with a small growl and grabbed the, now injured, she-wolf, throwing her gently onto his back. With a single leap, he had cleared the other wolves and run off, following Rako's scent. Even if Rako was busy, Willow wouldn't be too far from him.

Tiga bared her fangs at the wolves... If this was how she was going to go, she was going to go down fighting...

Chako saw Josie and panicked. "Run! DOn't let the wolves catch you!" she screamed, her eyes bulging in fear for her daughter.

The she-wolf was already dead- She had bled out in a few seconds...

Luke ran up to Yara and jumped up at him, wagging his tail. "Daddy! Where have you been?"
