"I'm Kyle." She smiled her shy little smile again and adverted her eyes from Ajax; she wasn't that good at talking to cute boys.
She paused for a moment in a trance, but then snapped back to her senses.
"Oh...yeah, thanks for picking up my papers."
Kyle turned around to leave...

"No problem," Ajax said.
He watched her turn to leave and after a moment of hesitation he reached out and grabbed her arm gently, turning her to face him, "Do you want to get lunch together?" He asked after swallowing. He had a fear or rejection and that's why he was never good with asking girls out.

"Oh sure, haha." Kyle replied. "Thanks, I thought I was gonna have to sit alone."
"Don't forget, your project is due next Thursday." the teacher said as Kyle and Ajax walked out the door together.
As they walked out into the hall, there were all sorts of people searching through their lockers for their lunch money or their lunch bag.
"I have to stop by my locker to get my lunch, is that alright with you?"

Ajax rolled his eyes at the teacher, another project that would be done the night before.
The taller blonde followed Kyle out into the busy corridors, he walked with her to her locker.
"Sure, the cafeteria food tastes terrible so everyone brings packed lunches." Ajax told her as he leaned against the locker beside hers.

"Ok."
Kyle took out a strip of paper from her purse that had a combination on it.
She twisted the little knob on the locker and opened it with little to no effort.
Suddenly, a boy came up to her.
"Hey, new girl." The boy leaned against the locker on the opposite side of Ajax.
"I guess we're neighbors." He tapped the locker next to Kyle's, and smiled.
The boy slowly began to pull Kyle into him, but she did not notice.
"Uh..."

Ajax watched the guy warily as he came over, as soon as he started pulling Kyle towards him Ajax pushed himself off the locker and went up to him, protectively pulling Kyle behind him. He was about the same height as the guy but it was obvious the guy was more stronger and muscular.

"Leave her alone." Ajax warned slowly through clenched teeth. He wasn't going to let Kyle get pushed around by these insensitive jocks.

Jacob walked out the class noticing Ajax hiding Kyle behind her protectively. Also noticing the jock, Jacob wondered what was going on. He walked over to his locker, which was opposite and put his books away. Watching the jock in the corner of his eye.

Lexi walked- almost ran to her dorm and exploded into the room. She opened her draw under her desk pulling out her phone. Lexi turned it on and went onto Facebook, checking everything.

Mr. Kruger sighed heavily and exited the class, glad it was over.

Mr. Cobbler walked out his office, wondering what everyone was up to.

Kyle was confused as to what was going on, but did not question Ajax.
She did not have any experience with jocks because of her shy nature, but this was a new school with new experiences.
"Hey, calm down!" The jock held his hands up. "I just wanted to say hi to the new girl, that's all."

"Don't go grabbing her then. You wanted to talk, nothing else." Ajax concluded, taking a moment to glance around him, the busy corridor had stopped it's usual commotion to watch - what they hoped to be - a fight.
