A couple of minutes later the doctor came in and told them that they were both free to go. Once the doctor was gone, KAcy stood up and waited for Jake with a smile on her face.

I got up and walked her outside. The police had driven my truck to the hospital and the keys at the counter.

"where are we supposed to stay tonight?" she asked as she looped her arm through his and they walked to his truck

"If you want i can drive through the night and be home by morning" I said

"Whatever you feel like doing" she said with a shrug "Your the one that'll be driving, not me"

"You just get your rest" I said and opened up the back door. I had thick quilts in the back and laid them over the backseat laying them back all the way and pushing them all the way forward. Making a flat bed in the back. "Your bed awaits my lady" I smiled

"Why thank you sir" she said laughing as he helped her into the back of the truck and she made herself comfortable. She looked at him and smile before giving him a kissy face, that almost looked like a fish, like little kids always do. She did her best to keep that face, but she coudnt help but giggle

I guessed she wanted a kiss and i climbed in the back over her and gave her a kiss with the same face. "Now get some sleep alright?" I asked with a soft smile and shut the doors as i got in the front

She smiled as she got comfortable "I love you Jake" she whispered before her eyes started to slowly flutter shut and she fell asleep
