What Are Button Ponies?
Basically its an adoptable of surprise! You get a little sneak peak of the ponies design on the button when it is put up for adoption. Once all entries are in and a winner has been chosen, the pony is revealed and the winner is allowed to do whatever they wish to do with it. These ponies do not have cutie marks, or names. That will be for you to decide!

He absolutely loves Meteorology, which is the scientific study of the climate and the weather. Rocket likes to pretend that he has the ability to predict the future, well the weather at least. He loves learning about how the wind works, how it creates storms and when exactly that storm is coming. One day he hopes to become a weather man, broadcasting his knowledge for all to hear.

Cruor is a Haematologist, a pony that studies blood in the National University of Equestria. Cruor in English means "Spilled Blood". Ever since He was a baby, a Drop of Blood from his mother dropped into his eyes because Her mother was sewing clothes. Cruor saw the red liquid, flowing. The Velvet color seems to darken and then suddenly lighten like a Chameleon. Cruor's Cutie Mark is a Droplet of Blood that seems to shine. Cruor lives in Canterlot since He is the only scientist that studies blood. he seems to think that Blood has life and He could make a Pony from Blood.

Horology and Horography, which are the study of time, if the terms were simplified.

When he was younger, Aion would often just walk around, watching the sites - he has a slight hobby of photography - and as he got older, he became entranced by how the passage of time effected the surroundings around him, and when he was even more older, on how the passage of time effected the ponies around him, and himself. He became more recluse and solitary for his age, making sundials, hourglasses, clocks and watches (the study of Horography) and kept asking questions (Horology). Eventually on a study on how time effects the paths you take and effects so-called 'fates and destinies', he realized he felt more alone, and tried to make friends, and build up his family. But no matter what, his past made him like Horology more and so he continued trying to juggle his obsession with his family/friends.

(A bit of a history there, but it was included on why he likes that science so I hope it is all right ^^)
