The reason behind this is that she used to foal-sit a cute little filly who had sadly had a form of lung cancer. She had died after 3 months of foal-sitting and ____ could not attend her funeral for it was a small, family only funeral. She had been notified the day after that on the little fillies's will, she had been left something, and it was her hospital band that simply said "Hope."

Velvetine, appreciative of the doctors and nurses that cared for her while she was in the hospital with bone cancer as a filly, decided to dedicate her time to helping others in need. She cared for her parents when they were sick, made gifts for her friends when they weren't feeling well, and can make the saddest pony smile. She plans to become a nurse in the future, and for now, she stays at home and likes to fix things she sees around the house.
