Lucy nodded. "Good." She paused, then looked up at him again. "She loves you an awful lot, you know."

Lizzie gasped playfully. "School? My little man is starting school?" She placed a loud, playful kiss on his cheek. "You can't start school! You'll be a big boy instead of a little man!"

Rory nodded. "I love her just the same," he told her.

Jasper laughed. "Yeah! I wanna be a big boy!"

Lucy nodded. "Good. Now we can go ahead and join them, I just wanted to get my point across." She smiled again wryly. "Sorry again."

Lizzie laughed. "You don't wanna be my little man?"

Rory shrugged and walked into the kitchen and stood by Lizzie. He put on a happy face for her.

Jasper laughed. "I do!"

Lucy watched him go and sighed.

Lizzie laughed and kissed Jasper's head. She looked up when Rory walked in and smiled brightly. "Jasper's starting school soon!" she told him. She'd noticed how his smile seemed a bit forced, but she figured she'd ask later.

Rory smiled at Jasper. "Really?!" he asked, and Jasper grinned. "Yeah!"

Lizzie grinned. "He's gonna be a big boy now instead of a little man."
