1x1 with Pika Girl

Carnival stared at the star-filled sky. He didn't know what to think of Starclan. He never really though of cats who pass on and die. He didn't believe that when cats die, they live on in the stars. 'Those are just regular stars in the sky. They aren't cats.' He avoided saying that to Flamepool so he wouldn't hurt her feelings. 'I guess every cat in the clan believes those stars are cats' spirits. What an insane idea.' "I guess." that's all he had to say.

Flamepool looked over at Carnival, her eyes and pelt reflecting starlight. She swiped her paw over her ear in contentment. She seemed happy to finally have a friend.

"Are we going back anytime soon?" Carnival broke the silence between them. Flamepool nodded her head and both cats began to walk to the Shadowclan camp entrance. Flamepool entered the camp but Carnival stayed behind, right next to the entrance.

Flamepool looked back to Carnival. "What's wrong Carnival? If you need a place to sleep, you can share my nest." She padded over to him and gave him a gentle nudge. "C'mon, you look tired." She bounded off to get some supplies to make the nest bigger.

Carnival didn't say anything. He watched as the she-cat went to get supplies for the nest. He sighed. 'My first night in the clan... How will the other cats treat me?' He waited for her to return with the supplies so he could help carry them into camp. 'Flamepool is nice. She seems so friendly and kind. I've never met another cat like that. Who didn't treat me as if I was a slave to them. It feels... Nice..."

Flamepool came back dragging a load of moss. She sat it down then turned around. (As she was turning) "Are you gonna help or n-!" Due to Carnival lost in his thoughts, they had touched noses. Flamepool blushed and turned away. "S-sorry."She said shyly before picking up her share of the moss.

(Finally, my time to shine!)


Carnival swiftly looked away from Flamepool. 'She just..!' He shook his head. "uh, here let me help you." He grabbed the rest of the moss and dragged into the camp. 'I hope she didn't notice' His eyes turned pink from the sudden 'kiss'
'Why did my eyes change color though... I don't like her that much...' He started to blush. "I just met her! Surely I don't have feelings for her now.' He waited by the entrance for Flamepool to follow.

Flamepool followed behind, letting about a tail length separate the two. She felt hot under her fur. 'Mousebrained clumsy self! Now he'll never be your friend.' She sighed and prepared the nest.

Carnival watched as Flamepool fix the nest to make it larger. The silence was stretching for a long period of time. They both obviously felt awkward to say another word after what happened. Carnival couldn't bear the silence. "We're still friends, right?" He averted her gaze. "We can just ignore what happened and get on with our lives like it never happened."

Flamepool looked over at Carnival and said awkwardly, "Y-yeah, that would be nice." She finished building the nest and lay down.
