Rusa bared her teeth, showing she didn't want company. It was only izzy she would allow right now since he was her mate. "Back off. I don't know if it helps."

Oleo didn't hear her- he had rushed to escape with the others, and pulled Orchid out from under the boulder just as it collapsed on Evvy's tail.

Blaze panted slightly, then looked over at Mystery. He had helped chase the wolves out, and now went to his mate and nuzzled her fondly, glad to have escaped the Pit alive.

Luka looked around for Rose, seeing Izzy run to Rusa, Blaze to Mystery, and Evvy... she was just standing there, panting, blood dripping from her fangs. For a moment she was the image of fury and vengeance, but then she suddenly collapsed to the ground. Luka started to go to her, but Luna was already there. He nodded to himself and scented the air for Rose.

Briar rushed to Iris's side and licked her nervously, then turned to the wolves surrounding them. Turning so he was back-to-back with his sister, a fighting style they had often practiced when younger, the two waited for the wolves to close in. Then they struck! Blood splattered the white snow as the enemy fell, slain by a whirlwind of death, black and white, fighting together as the circle of enemy wolves became smaller and thinner.

Night Orchid sat with Oleo. "Are you hurt?" she asked kindly peering at her

Lightning whined. 'Sorry" he muttered walking over to Mystery. 'Are you all right?" he questioned

Blaze nodded quietly, then flicked a bit of blood from his paws. "I was careless, Mystery, and I let the enemy into our own home. I don't think I can ever forgive myself for that." Then he looked up at Lightning, growling slightly. "Get outta here." The battle had made him edgy, and at the moment he didn't feel like trusting a wolf he didn't know very well.

As soon as the last wolf died, Briar rushed to his mate and licked some blood from the black fur of her neck. "What's wrong?" he whispered, asking both her and himself. He couldn't tell, but maybe she was lying on the wound?

Rosabelle stood in the circle of slain enemies, panting, her teeth bared. Slowly her eyes faded from bloodred to icy blue, and she stepped away from her brother, his mate, and their pups. Looking around, she found Luka sitting by a frozen puddle, and went to him.

Izzy watched Lightning leave and went to Rusa, rubbing his muzzle quietly against hers. "I'm glad you're alright." he whispered, then cringed slightly. Having been set in the cold snow, his twisted paw was twinging painfully.

Lightning growled finally fed up with all the wolves rejecting him. "What have I ever done to you wolves!? The only REASON I came here was for Rain! He was my father!!!" he yelled as all the wolves turned to look at him

Luna turned from Evvy to snarl at him, something she usually never did. "Well, Rain was a flirt, and a cruel and senseless wolf. He's dead, and good riddance to bad rubbish, I say!" Then she turned back to her patient and took a deep breath to calm herself, patching up the silver she-wolf's cuts with cobwebs.

"Is that what you think!? Maybe thats because your a selfish b*tch! Thats what everyone thinks you are! They may deni it but its the truth!" he shouted angrily

Luna didn't look at him, just replied angrily. She kept her voice low and level, but it shook with rage. "Is that what you think, Lightning? Really? Because if you weren't stupid, you'd know that I gave everything for this pack. My home, my family, my life. And I've made a new one, here. And another thing: cursing at me won't have any effect. I, like all intelligent wolves, know that cussing is a sign of a bad upbringing and of a small vocabulary, hinting at a small brain." She flicked her tail dismissively. "Go find somebody else to bother- I'm busy."

((Inside the cave))

Tal stood and walked to stand in front of lightning, slightly taller. He bared his teeth and growled. "Do NOT insult ANY wolves in this pack! You know NOTHING about them, NOTHING of what they've been through! And right now they have the right to be a little short on patience." He snarled, especially ticked off on how he treated luna.

Iris was silent, only small, short breaths showed she was still alive.

Rusa looked at izzy with saddened eyes. "I wanna go home." she said in a small whimper as she buried her face in his chest fur. Besides a pack to live in, he was all she had.

Mystery licked blood off blazes fur. "Its not your fault." She murmured. "Please don't blame yourself."
