This has nothing to do with the subject you guys were on but...
When people don't interact with anyone else's character in their first post and then complain about why we haven't interacted with their character. I have made my character do something on their own in my first post before, I have no problem RPing on my own for a little while, but if I want my characters to interact with another I will make them interact with the other character first.
It just bugs me a lot... I sit there behind my laptop scowling and thinking 'If you want your character to be interacted with, then make it possible!' Argh...

About the 'elite' rolplays,their really just Semi Lit---Lit.Its just for those people who write about a parapgraph each time,not for people who write one liners.

Me too!I roleplays with my friends,but when I ask for a recap,no answer.They don't even try,they just keep on rping.One time I had to read 20+ pages.When other people ask,they don't help either,so I have to give one.Some of them takes a 'week break'which actually last for a month.But nooooo,I never get a break,do I?Dx

No, no, no. I mean the roleplays you find on like, Wet Paint. Where you get posts like...

One good reason as to why one should refrain from using unnecessary purple prose. .____. English is my best subject, but I could hardly understand who was the main character and what species they were.

Yeah. Imagine entire sites that talk like that. o_o It happens... it's scary. And then anyone who doesn't talk like that is considered a 'fail'. >> It's a very bad environment.

No wolf here gets in easily, it takes great skill and expertise in the roleplaying arts to be able to become one of our own. Unlike some other roleplaying forums, we roleplay LIVE; using the most intense and realistic forms of roleplay as possible. We use literate roleplay terms, and always correct our grammar. If you are unfamiliar with these terms then it is advised that you don’t show up in our meadow. Those who cannot roleplay correctly are deemed fails and will be killed upon sight.

Okay, so if you classify Semi lit as 2-3 pharagraphs per post Semi-lit... I'm not semi-lit. But I hate that because of this, everyone thinks I'm dumb as a post, and can't be good at roleplaying either... >.> My posts are mainly 1-2 unless writer's block kicks in again.

I write books. All the time. Good ones, and I'm not boasting here! I just don't like the RP environment because you don't have a clue as to the other character's plan, and where their plot will lead you, therefor it's harder to write in more detail of what the character is feeling, because...>.> Just.... It's hard to explain, okai?

Their is used to show someone's belongings. An item that belongs to you.

Omg, this gets to me, too! D: I mean, sometimes I mix them up, and that's understandable, but people who just refuse to even try to use the correct one, it just gets on my nerves. >.> Then again, it may just be the fact that our ELA teachers review those every single year to this day, but still, it really gets on my nerves. Besides, it's not actually that hard to remember which is which once you're past 2nd - 4th grade. <.<

My own Rant:

I hate, hate, hate when people don't write well. My pet peeve is when people don't capitalize I when their character is talking, or in OOC. Try to keep good grammar peeps!

I had this one girl who had a bunch of mary-sues in a roleplay, and I was going to be gone, and 50 new pages were up when I came back. When I looked around for my characters turn out, she beat up and powerplayed my characters, knocking them out without giving them a chance to move on with her Mary-Gary sue, a shy weak girl who somehow had the power to turn into a super powerful man. Anyone else disturbed?

Then there's this other girl who writes like a 7-year-old (I'd know, I've roleplayed with one...) and always has her character have the same name, always being a medieval style girl no matter the roleplay genre. Werewolf RP? Human girl with medieval tendencies.

Another thing I hate is when you're in a murder mystery RP, and the person who owns the killer indirectly gives it away on page 10. Come on! Couldn't you wait until someone dies first? The person who owns the character is asked to kill them off the killer wants them too, and it was awesome. But I have a definate guess when the guy who is "Prime Suspect" on my suspect list thought I'll protect you from all of them, even if it means I have to do the unthinkable... Other than that, everything was okay. I wrote the first murder, and it was four or five pages long. Really epic. I hope that it doesn't end too quickly, because I know the killer.

There's this roleplay that I like, and I joined with a really emo character, with angst lining every post. All of a sudden, EVERYONE else is talking about their angsty pasts, and they didn't have them until after I joined. It was hilarious. It proves how much power one person can have in a RP. I loved it. X3
