With a swish of Dawnlight's tail, she dismissed Mintpaw from her training for the day.

She nodded and headed towards the fresh-kill pile, eyeing a skinny squirrel, blood at the neck. She picked it up in her jaws and set it down on the ground near the apprentice' den, savoring every bite slowly. She crawled into the apprentice den and thought the whole Medicine cat or Warrior thing over, both would be great mentors. Mintpaw felt that she had a good memory, so she could remember herbs well. She thought about it, and it seems that medicine cat may be the rank that she must choose to satisfy herself. Not just herself, but her clan-mates. She would talk to Icestar

She just nodded. "Thank you, Ferntalon. "I will think more about this."
Icestar had too much on her mind. She needed to pick a new deputy, but she needed to think longer about it. She wasn't just choosing a deputy, she was choosing the future leader of SpiritClan.

Dawnlight sat down for a moment, wrapping her furry tail around her paws.

Ferntalon walked out of her den and saw an apprentice eating,she walked over to her."Mintpaw,when your done eating I could use some help gathering herbs if you are not busy,meet me by the camp entrance if you would like to."with that she walked towards her den to take final inventory before heading to the camp entrance.

Mintpaw looked up at her and nodded, padding towards the camp entrance. This could be her chance!

Dawnlight remembered when Mintpaw was just a kit, she remembered when she used to always say that she was going to be a medicine cat. Maybe she doesn't want to be a warrior, Dawnlight thought. She noticed the apprentice eagerly following the medicine cat, Ferntalon. Dawnlight stalked over to the fresh kill pile.

"Let's go"Ferntalon ran into the forest with Mintpaw close behind she stopped when she scented yarrow

Mintpaw stopped when Ferntalon stopped and she, too sniffed the air to try and scent what Ferntalon was smelling. "What's that smell?"

"It's yarrow,and vole"she led Mintpaw toward the yarrow"dig up this plant for me"she said then moved to another yarrow plant and begain digging

She took a good look at the plant then started digging and she picked up the white herb in her jaws
