She was born to a rogue mother who's name is only shared by Shadowclaw and Shadewhisker and taken in by her father Shadowclaw, it took a long time for NightClan to accept the half-blood cat she was, but eventually came to terms that this was Shadowclaw's kit, and Shadowclaw was quite the popular cat, known for his skills in battle. Shadewhisker grew up to be a beautiful cat, and became mates with a kittypet tom called Nightlight without her Clanmates knowing. She ended up bearing his two kits Ivykit and Patchkit.

Shadewhisker is very secretive, shy, but also very gentle to her Clanmates if she senses there's something wrong with them. She's much more of a hunter then a fighter but does not like this fact, she appreciates that she can hunt a higher skill then her Clanmates, but dislikes that she's absolutely rubbish at fighting. Shadewhisker loves her kits above all else and snaps at anyone how comments that something's wrong with them and that she's terrible from keeping the father's identity a secret.

The young kit hobbled out of the nursery with Patchkit by his side, both kits looked very excited as they raced up to their leader. "We're open! We're open!" Ivykit chanted.

Patchkit purred with amusement and his paws impatiently pawed the ground leaving small prints on the ground. "Can we go Nightstar? Me and Ivykit are old enough!" He meowed.
