        PFDC, From what I can tell is you need to try and make your lines clearer. Yes, they may be sketches, but jagged lines dont look good at all. Try making clean sharp lines, it can make a big difference c:

        As for me
        I am having so much trouble coloring. It's more of a matter as I dont know where to start. Yes I practice, but I have no idea what to practice on, or what im doing. I can sketch great, but when I go to color it all goes wrong. Does anyone have any tips or tuts on what to do or what I should focus on? Any help would be great!

Yuki- I have found colouring very, very difficult. One piece of advice I would give you (Which is quite controversial) is to draw the markings quite slowly... I know some people that with just a flick, one marking is done. But especially when your a beginner or experimenting its sometimes best to just best to keep trying. From what I can see with your work, both you're art and colouring looks pretty advanced to me :)

Zoker- I'm not great with felidae but the face shapes look really impressive. I have found this and this tutorial to be most useful.

@Zoker Gosh that looks awesome so far :D much better then what i can do, heres a tutorilish thing with tons of different ear styles

@PFDC That serices of drawings are awesome, i would recomend looking up horse poses and just drawing legs,legs, and some more legs. I fin this for my self, but then you want to improve a species its eaiser to draw one part of the ever creature your working with over and over, and once you feel comfotable with that try sticking the creature together, but thats just me XD

welp, i was wondering what you guys thing of this

Zoker, that lioness is looking stunning already. The ears don't look bad, though I feel like the one in the back may need to stick upwards a little more. I may be incorrect, seeing as I don't often draw felidae. Right now, it looks pretty perfect to me. c:

I am having issues with anatomy.

Like, I feel as if there is a bunch wrong with what I'm doing, and I'm sure there is. Could I get some tips on what to do? I'm trying to improve my anatomy, because I really want to be able to do more fullbody art, and more realistic art. I'm really longing to be a better artist, and I'm certainly trying to learn. So, any help is appreciated.Especially a redline. I'm having some probems corectly drawing the fingers of the hand.

-well, now that I am having to write everything over again..thanks phone -.- I just want to say sorry for the lack of quality in this post..-

@PFDC
I believe you should try make your lines more smoother! And a general tip when drawing horses the top of the head does not dip like that. If you have a breed such as an Arabian they will have a small dip just not that large. Also, work on the muzzles of horses, the top of the nose mainly. They are all so rounded through, lastly try make the ears a little smaller as they are to big for the head. I really enjoyed your poses for all the pieces! They are really well done

@maple
Love your art! I wish I could draw humans just half that good. But I am going to comment on the lose. It looks slightly unnatural almost like he is waking and falling at the same time.

@zoker
I have to agree with the post above mine about the ear thing. Also, try making the left check not to box like? Try rounding it out slightly.

So, I have been working on realism and I wanted to get sone tips, redlines or anything that might help/

Zoker: I'm not good with feline/lion anatomy, but it looks really good so far!

~Maplefeather~: That looks really nice so far! You seem to have the basic idea, on the face the nose does look a little too pointy but thats an easy fix! I suggest this tutorial for drawing side-views its super helpful: xxx [at least for me]

Veins of Opal: that looks pretty spot on so far [but i'm not expert especially at full bodies, I'm working on those as well] As for hands, I've found that this tutorial: xxx is super helpful to me, but everyone is different of course!

Stonefly: Those look really nice so far! I especially love the bottom right eye, I don't really have any critiques but this tutorial may help: xxx

@Corgie
That's pretty good, I mean, I'm not an expert on shading or anything to do with drawing humans but it looks pretty good to me. I just struggle badly to draw humans so I stick with animals myself. x3

@Veins of Opal
Can't really help you but it looks great, however.

@Zoker
It looks great so far, but I'm not very experienced with feline anatomy so I can't really help you there.

I've lately been practicing my animal legs etc But I always have this feeling that I'm doing the shoulder's on the front legs wrong and the knee and below on the back legs. I would greatly appreciate either a redline or just some general tips. I've had a look at the guides but I'm still looking for a few tips.

I did this in Oekaki, as I cannot get the hang of any other drawing programs.

Hello!
I just found out about this thread and I felt like I needed to talk to some fellow artist, right now... a few days ago I put in to do art for someone and they basically said your not good enough/your not worth my pets and time. which made me feel really discouraged and now I'm kinda afraid to put in for art.. and I don't no what to do.

I all so have another problem, A lot of artist have a certain style that there good at and mines realistic, kinda and I know most people want to draw realistic but my realistic inst that good and when I try anything else it looks horrible, any ideas on how to solve my dilema or improve?

    I know I don't post often, but when I do I try to make these thorough, especially when I feel things have been pretty shallow lately.

    Turtlezsoup: First off, I won't sugar coat it- (simply in the interest of helping you be the very best you can be) your anatomy is pretty wonky. Did you do any kind of underdrawing before really thinking about the linework? Spending time on cleaning up a rough sketch helps in ways you'll never know until you actually try it.

    Second, the back really has some issues (along with the neck) which is why I think you're having problems with the front leg. Canine legs usually have more defined edges, but they only really seem rounded because of their fur. As shown here. Right before the paw where you have some kind of lump sticking backwards is too extreme, and especially so since you did not try to balance the front part out by curving it in and instead you drew it straight. The top of the head is way too round, and I feel that if you used any guidelines, you stuck too much to the circle for a head- this in itself is bad. Guidelines help you place things, but they are never set in stone so you also must learn how to branch off instead of hugging a sketch with your lining. The ears are too long and when canine ears go backwards, they form more of a triangle shape as they flatten against the head. A good example can be seen here. Even if the ears are more upwards in relation to pointing back, it is rare that they stick out so much from the head. Your chest is too shallow and sunken into the body, it should have more of an outwards curve like here.

    @ Corgie: While your attempts at human drawing are impressive, they're not exactly spot on, which is understandable and I'd go so far as to say expected, regardless of how much reference one studies. First off is her left arm. It hugs too close to here body, arms DO NOT hug the body when at rest, but they sort of come away from the body because of the divet above the elbow.
