Fox Hill Stables is a premier equestrian facility located in beautiful Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. Here, our students and their horses excel in the English riding disciplines. We have two trainers: Eduardo Reyes, a former Olympic dressage rider, and Sara Perry, a top hunter/jumper rider who has won at Maclay and WEF. Their students excel in both dressage and hunter/jumpers.
Only the most dedicated students will be accepted into the riding program at Fox Hill Stables. Our students must be willing to ride 6+ days a week and multiple horses a day, as well as barn chores. Besides our riding program, our trainers teach students the art of horsemanship on the ground and building a bond with your equine partner.
Fox Hill Stables also holds multiple competitions a month, some exclusively for students, and some rated shows. We encourage all of our students to take part in these exciting events.
Students are invited to live in our dormitory rooms located above three of the barns. There are 24 in all, 8 above each barn. Each student may have one private room. These rooms are dorm-style and include a small bathroom. Students may design their rooms to their likings.
We have several horses available for lease, as well as great school horses for students to take lessons on.

Fox Hill Stables boasts multiple riding arenas and five 16 stall barns. Our huge indoor arena is open to students 24/7. We have five outdoor arenas - three dressage arenas and two jumping arenas. Turnout is located to the right of our aerial photo.

There are 16 stalls in each of the five barns. Each barn has three wash stalls and one tack room. Our stalls are a hybrid of euro front and full stalls. Each stall can be equipped with a blanket rack, and each stall comes with a cardholder for your horse's information as well as a hook for your horse's halter and lead. Every horse must have a halter and lead outside of their stall when they are inside. It is recommended that your horse's halter has their name on it.

• I would like it if RPers had equine knowledge. If you admittedly don't, feel free to join and have a student without a horse that rides school horses. We can have a plot of you and your character learning about horses and riding.
• School horses may be RPed by anyone. Just make sure that you RP them realistically and true to character; Midas won't take off galloping and clear a 6 foot jump ;)
• No one liners. Please have in depth posts and display proper grammar. Also, please write in third person.
• Please update your forms as your characters and horses change over the roleplay. :)
• Eduardo Reyes and Sara Perry will be RPed by me during shows. They may be RPed by anyone during lessons as long as they stay true to character.
• You are required to make a human. You may only have one horse for every human for now. Feel free to create a human that doesn't have a horse!
• Try to keep male to female ratio even!
• I would prefer it if there is a limited amount of untrained horses and foals.
• Horses CANNOT escape paddocks and stalls!
• Please be active. If you don't make a post for five days, you'll be removed.

• No jumping without a trainer or boarder present
• No riding without a helmet! No exceptions!
• Stalls should be cleaned twice daily: once in the morning and once at night
• Students are responsible for their horses: they must feed in the morning and at night and make sure their horses have hay.
• Non-boarders/lesson students must take care of the school horses.
• Horses must be groomed daily
• Horses must be in their stalls by 10PM
• Mares and stallions must be separated at all times! Breeding generally isn't allowed without exceptions.

History: Reggie was owned by a Warmblood breeder until she went bankrupt and auctioned her horses off. Eduardo Reyes acquired Reggie when he was a yearling, trained him, and started him under saddle himself. Because of Reggie's demeanor, he decided to use him as a school horse, and Reggie has been one for six years. Eduardo used to show him, but now he allows students to show him locally.

History: Aurora was Sara Perry's first mare's daughter. Sara has owned her all of Aurora's life and started her.

She's great to handle on the ground and young riders usually start on her because of her bombproof, calm personality.
History: Eduardo imported Rose from France five years ago and brought her through PSG himself.

Personality: Midas is a great school pony! He's calm, quiet, and forgives mistakes. Midas is a tad full of himself though - hence the name. "Everything he touches turns to gold!" Many young riders start jumping on him, and even the most experienced boarder or student loves to hop on him to test themselves every once in a while. He's a barn favorite!
History: Midas was rescued by Sara's family when he was three years old. He was neglected by an older man who couldn't care for his horses anymore. Sara rehabbed him and started him over fences when she was just 15 years old. He's one of Sara's favorites.

Personality: Eduardo is kind and caring towards his students outside of lessons. However, during lessons, he isn't afraid to be tough and mean. Not only is he one of the top dressage trainers in the country, he's also one of the toughest. Eduardo doesn't skate around the truth and tell his students they've done well if they haven't; he's known for being blunt and honest. He's made his students cry on several occasions. Despite his 'mean' teaching style, Eduardo is understanding outside of lessons and makes his students feel like a part of the Fox Hill family.
History: Eduardo used to ride for Spain and went to the Olympics with his home bred PRE stallion Acento three times and with an Oldenburg mare named Reina once. He won medals at them all; gold twice, silver once, bronze once. After his fourth Games, he retired from showing Grand Prix and retreated to Fox Hill Farm in the USA to train young riders with dreams just like he had. He met Leah's family when he first moved to the area 10 years ago. He watched Leah grow up and likes to say he persuaded her to become a dressage rider instead of an eventer like her two brothers and the rest of her family. Eduardo treats her very kindly now since her boyfriend died and is determined to train her and Danzig to Grand Prix level. He's determined to have his students become top riders, and with his success rate, the bulk of them will.

Personality: Sara is a pleasant person to be around. Bright and happy almost all of the time, she's a good trainer for those who are a bit more sensitive. Her teaching style is opposite that of Eduardo's. She believes that praise is essential to students for building confidence, which in turn makes better riders. Sara teaches the beginner riders because of her kinder teaching style. Outside of teaching and training, Sara is not only bright and happy, but she's spontaneous and adventurous. She takes on dares and isn't afraid to do crazy things, like jumping bareback on the cross country course or sky diving.
History: Sara was born into a rich family. She started riding at the age of four and started off doing hunters on the flat, and once she built enough muscle when she turned 9, she began jumping. She quickly progressed on ponies her parents bought for her and competed nearly every weekend. Sara trained with the top H/J trainers in the country, including George Morris. She went to WIHS, Maclay, Thermal, WEF, etc and took home ribbons at all of the competitions. She went back nearly every year and won multiple times. She transitioned into show jumping on the side with a family horse, Fleur, who was put down a few years back. Sara achieved success with Fleur and now teaches jumpers in addition to hunters. She still competes, and is currently showing one of the school horses, Calido, until she finds her next mount and he is leased. After Calido gets leased, she's going to Europe to look for her next imported jumper.

Personality: Leah's a fiery, headstrong individual. She will not settle for any way other than her own. She's boarded the longest at Fox Hill Stables and has trained with Eduardo since she was a child. Because of this, she bosses other boarders, leasers, and students around. She's egotistical about everything except her riding. Despite this, she can be friendly once you get to know her, although she teases all of her friends. Leah's weakness has been and will always be horses. Her tough shell melts around them, and she bonds with any horse she works with for a long time. Leah's a very quiet, skilled rider and often rides other peoples' horses for them at their request when Eduardo or Sara aren't available.
History: Her family comes from a long line of eventers, but she found that despite her edgy personality, she'd rather stick with the coolness of dressage. She competed at Intermediare I with her last horse, but he was retired before she reached her prime. Her father bought Danny for her after her horse, Walk On Top, retired, and the pair have had great success under Eduardo. Since he is young, she hopes to reach Grand Prix with him. Leah's family lives a few miles away from the stables. She has two brothers, Jake and Thomas, who are four star eventers. Leah had a boyfriend named Brody when she was 15; they dated for three years and he was killed in a car accident when she was just 18. This is why she acts tough - she had to watch everyone break down around her over Brody's death and she felt like she needed to take care of them instead of grieve herself. She was in love with him and they planned on getting married when they turned 21, so her heart is completely shattered. Danny, the horses at Fox Hill, and the horses at home are Leah's strength.

Around people, though, he's the opposite. He lives for attention and is very 'in your pocket'. He loves sticking his head out of the front of his stall and watching and waiting for people to give him treats.
History: Danny was bred in Germany for jumping, but his breeders noticed his talent for dressage and listed him for sale. Two years ago, Leah's father bought him and imported him to the US. The pair is currently schooling the elements of Prix St. George and in 5 years hope to be showing Grand Prix.

history: lui was born in radford, virginia. her parents owned an equestrian center; briar ridge stables. so lui has been riding since she was a little girl. she has always been in love with horses, loving everything about them. her mother was a famous eventer and her father is a well known trainer. so lui was raised to strive for the best. lui began officially riding horses at the age of nine, when she jumped a horse. lui's first horse was an american paint mare named iria. she first owned her at the age of thirteen. she had her until she was fifteen, when the mare was forced to be put down. it was devastating for lui. but she somehow managed to stay up in the saddle, riding a variety of horses at her the stables. at the age of sixteen, lui was given a new horse, iris who she rides today. she was wild, untamed. but with the power of love and trust, lui is now able to compete iris. iris still continues to be a bit wild at times though, but she loves her. lui has recently moved here with iris, to go to fox hill stables

personality: iris is a very wild mare. shes generally bucky and and rarely listens. she doesn't like anybody else, she will only love lui. its just the way she has. shes loyal to her rider. iris is easily spooked, she can get scared by the littlest thing which can cause a bad horse accident. there has been countless times iris has hurt lui from being spooked. shes also very sensitive, by the smallest touch she can easily be alarmed and defend herself. despite all the bad things, lris is a very talented show jumper. of course a lot she'll refuse and such, but after a whole lot of training and bonding, lris has come back as a high jumper. shes very strong and determined as well. shes also very stubborn and impatient. she enjoys be free and galloping, also riding in water areas.
history: iris was born at a old run down barn in virginia. she had terrible owners, and was often treated badly. she hadn't be trained property, and was abused, thats what made iris dislike humans. then suddenly she was taken away, and into a animal hospital, where she was treated back to health. but she was still scared of humans, non trainable. for some odd reason lui's parents had bought iris. iris was confused and scared, she refused to listen to anyone. she was surprised when a young girl stepped up to her, training her day and night. iris finally gave in, letting herself trust lui. in the next few years, iris loves lui and is never seen apart from her.

Personality: Rowan is an all around happy-go-lucky person. Sure she has her days but she tries her best to get through them with a smile. She'll go completely out of her way to make someone else smile, whether or not she has the time or energy. Ro lives for helping people, it's a major part of who she is. However, she's not just peaches and cream. She has a rough and tumble side, from growing up with two big brothers. She's not afraid to get down and dirty, to work long and hard for what she wants. This caused her to not only be overly determined but often too headstrong.
History: Rowan grew up as the youngest with two older brothers yet she some how managed to be quite the girly girl. She had a classic up bringing, nothing much to mention. Her mom was a stay at home mom and her dad was at work every day. They were a very typical, middle class family. Once her oldest brother graduated, he went to the Army, her other brother followed suit, going to the Navy. Since she was the only girl, she was of course daddy's little princess and when she asked for a pony, she got one. Unlike a lot of little girls who get a pony, she did not lose interest, she kept excelling and excelling until she had to go to a professional show jumping barn to continue learning. That was when she received Red who was her very first horse, he came to her through a friend of the family who rescued off the track Thoroughbreds. He was her first project horse and she did extremely well with him, not to mention falling in love with training horses in the process. He has since retired and she got Whiskey from a local rescue, gentling and training the yearling from the ground up.

Personality: He's very soft and easy to work with, if he deems you likable. If not, then don't bother trying to handle him. However, it's very rare that he doesn't like someone and they tend to be male more than female. With all males, he will challenge them, just to see what he can get away with, if shown that he is not in control, he will easy up and return to his good natured self. Despite liking to challenge other males, he's good with mares, geldings and stallions.
History: He was originally a homebred horse that his owners never planned to sell, however after the husband had hunting accident, the couple decided it was best to sell all of their horses. A few of the yearlings weren't sold and so they were given to rescues. From there, Rowan took him, originally as a project horse but she ended up falling in love and creating too strong of a bond for that. Rowan gentled and trained him, no one else has ever ridden him. Whiskey was first trained in English pleasure then show jumping and when he excelled in that, that became his discipline. As of now, he is just below Gran Prix level however, he will not ever be shown at said level.

Personality: Jason is a wild child, it's really just that simple. He loves to be loud and to cause commotion, usually by playing a practical joke on someone. If your saddle pad goes missing, check the rafters and just don't ask how it got there cause you surely don't want to know. He can be gentle of course, that's what makes him so good with horses. And channeling all of that energy in the dressage ring can make him stand out above the rest. However, he is not cocky by any means, he's very down to earth and never pulls the 'well my parents' card.
History: He comes from a long line of dressage riders and his parents own a Hanoverian stud farm. Jason learned to ride there, however his grandfather on his mother's side was a cowboy and taught Jason to ride in a Western saddle as well. Because of this, there really isn't much that he hasn't perfected in the riding world but he decided to stick with dressage, to keep it in the family line. Other than that, he was a very normal only child, who liked to mess around when people least expected it.

Personality: Dancer is very much like her owner. She's playful and extremely friendly, the type of horse that wants to play tag instead of work. However, when it is time to work, she puts her all into it. She lives to please and does better under the guidance of an experienced rider but if put with a beginner, she can be a push button horse.
History: She was bred on Jason's parent's farm and was trained by his mother. For a while, she was used as a school horse, hence her ability to be a push button horse but over time, she bonded with Jason and he with her. After only two years of being a school horse, Jason decided that she would be his and his alone. Since they've been together, they've rarely not won blues at competitions.
