It's about a woman remembering her childhood - first time eating a pineapple, school and holiday.
It's a mix of memories and her current live. She helps with harvesting, because she always wanted to spent her holiday in the country and she also falls in love.

Hey Coral! You can call me Pine. I'm not sure who else works for studio Ghibli. I heard Isao Takahata did, but I don't know who else.
There are probably a ton of animators I don't know about.

In german the little coal things are called Rußmännchen (from Spirited Away and Totoro)
The guy is Musca from Laputa (why is he there?)
Next to him are the baby/mouse and the crow from Spirited Away together with Chihiro
Beside her are Satsuki and Mei from Totoro
And Kiki with Jiji from Kiki's Delivery Service
Sheeta from Laputa
Talking to Shizuku from Whisper of the Heart and Moon/Muta/Renaldo Moon from Whisper of the Heart/The Cat Returns
They are all sitting in the Catbus from Totoro
(the white thing in the window might be the glider from Nausicaä, but maybe I'm just interpreting to much)
