I'm the same way. Until someone commits suicide, or someone dies of something, I don't cry. I think that the reason that we cry over books is for 2 reasons:
1.) We need to release some tears once in a while.
2.) It's so unbelievable that someone dies, that we just can't help but crying.

3.)The author tries to make you like the character and succeeds- they usually know all along that they're gonna die, and the more people who cry, the better the book is.

Very true, very ture. Honestly, I am not a big fan of Suzanne Collins. Her ego is too big. I mean, I know how she got there, with two best selling series in all. but, she just doesn't fit my tastes as a writer.
