The Dog Pound (New and open!)

A man shoved a very groggy Shirshu into a cage, she glanced around and scratched at the muzzle he had put on her. She couldn't remember much, and she felt dizzy from medication. She glanced at Voodoo "Hello, remember me." she asked.

I glance at her, not bothering to lift my head. I was starting to feel depressed about this situation. But still hopeful my owner will come to get me. "Yes I remember you." I watch her for a moment. "Are you feeling alright?" I ask, tilting my head to the side.

Belle sighed, resting her head on her paws. Her eyes were half-closed as she gazed at the human's feet. She watched as the feet moved around quickly. She occasionally glanced up when she heard the clanking of cages being opened, seeing puppies being taken out of their cage so they could be adopted. She envied them sometimes, wishing she could get out of the pound.

Why was I put in here in the first place? she thought miserably. Everything had been fine when she had been with her owner. In fact, life was peaceful and happy. Then all of a sudden she was loaded into the car, and brought here. Her owner handed her leash to some unknown human and filled out some paperwork. It was a horrible and painful memory.

Shirshu glanced over at the dog in the cage beside her. "Are you alright? You seem depressed." Shirshu asked Bella. She saw a cute little Dalmatian get picked out of t's cage and snuggled with by a teenager.

Belle looked up to see a Shibu Inu. It took her a moment to realize the words were directed at her. "Do I look alright?" she snapped, a little colder than she intended. After being dropped off to the pound, Belle had grown to be very cold and distrusting. Her eyes narrowed at the other dog, ignoring the Dalmatian that had just been adopted.

"This sucks doesn't it? Your either cute or a puppy or you stay." Shirshu asked ignoring the dog's sarcasm. A man walked over to look at her, but she payed no mind to him.

I pay half attention to the twos' discussion and focus on the man that keeps doing odd jobs around the room. I was growing restless again, not used to being cooped up for this long.

Belle sighed, putting her head back on her paws. "I guess so," she muttered, closing her eyes. Her tail wrapped around her body neatly. "Looks like someone wants to adopt you," she added, her remark directed toward the man who had come over.
