HTTYD RP: Dragonwings (Always Accepting)

"Well queen... it's more than enough. Thank you. Are these... dragon scales?" He smiled and examined it. "Very rare..."

"Not so rare when your dragon's shedding!" Jay laughed. "And please, call me Jay."

Striker shrugged "I'm working on it. I already trust her, but I think she's a little cautious about having a dragon and wants a good bond before she commits. Right now she only wants to ride bareback and doesn't want to do quick flying or racing. But I think it's going good. I really like her." He smiled

Sierra stepped back as the Nightfury uncurled his wings in the sunlight, sending shimmers of reflected light at first. She walked over to his slick black hide and hopped over it. She and Striker decided if she were to ride him part of their bonding would be bareback riding and no speed racing/flying til he felt comfortable with the idea of a saddle and being her official dragon. She sat a little farther back then Hiccup would ride on Toothless to hold on to the base of his wings. Once atop Striker she lent down and gave a little squeeze with her legs to tell him she was set and ready. Striker feeling the gesture, took off and glided smoothly down to the docks within a minute and Sierra dismounted. She pat him and tossed him a fish from her bag before looked at the ship wearily. Stepping on board and looking through some of the items and waved to Jay once seeing her with a bow and quiver of arrows. Picking around she found a book and a fresh book with nothing written in it. Smiling she put that under her arm with the new storybook she picked up a moment before. The glint of an arrow tip lured her over to it. She picked up about five of these, noting the yellow fletching on them. 'It'll be easy to find them if I missed the target at least.' She dug into her pocket and retrieved a golden chain with a red jewel attached to it. Clutching it in her hand she also pulled out a couple gold coins in case it didn't fully pay for everything. Looking around and waiting patiently for the one who ran the ship and turned the gold pieces around with her fingers.

Max nodded, "Jay." Another rude viking interrupted him and he was thrown back into fetching items.

"That's awesome!" Ika smiled, happy for Striker. She watched as Jay flew off with her purchases, probably to use at least one of them.

Kiyana landed on the deck near Max. "Looks like you're pretty busy," she said. "Could I help?"

Striker nodded "I'm happy she's at least not wanting to jump into something like some vikings would. She wants to take her time, which I admire and know she's not gonna try and push me into anything or do something she doesn't think will work." He bumped Ika with a smile on his face.

"I remember me and Jay's first flight. Jay nearly fell off," Ika recalled.

Max set down a heavy box and let out his breath. "Well, you don't know where anything is. But, the boxes below deck need to come up. Don't lift anything too heavy. Trust me, it's not worth it." He smiled and picked up another one.

Sierra holding a clean book and storybook as it looked along with five arrows approached Max. "Hi." She said sheepishly. She wasn't the most friendly and very shy around strangers. "Uhm, would this cover the two books and five arrows?" She held out the golden chain with a red gem attached to it hanging limply from the chain. "And if its not I have some coins to cover the rest." She gave a small smile.

Striker almost fell over backwards laughing "I heard rumors that humans almost always fall of their dragons first ride, but I didn't think it was true! Sierra had it pretty much besides having to correct balance every once and awhile because she had no saddle."
