ＴＲＩＰ ＴＯ ＴＨＥ ＰＡＳＴ

Fawnkit was born to Heronfeather and Goldencloud, both nearing the elder's den at the time of her birth. In his frail old age, Heronfeather contracted greencough just after his kit's birth. The disease rapidly worsened, becoming blackcough and killing Heronfeather in a matter of twelve days. Goldencloud nursed her daughter happily, leaving the nursery after Fawnpaw's apprenticeship and heading right for the elder's den. Fawnpaw became Fawnleap after eleven moons as an apprentice, and was incredibly worried at being the only she-cat in the warrior's den. Goldencloud passed peacefully in her sleep, when Fawnleap was 26 moons. Now, five moons later, Fawnleap has decided that her grief shall not affect her Clan. She goes on with her hunting and mentoring, burying her sadness in work.

ＤＩＧＧＩＮＧ ＤＥＥＰＥＲ

Fawnleap has always been optimistic and cheery, sometimes seeming immature because of her naive friendliness. Although she's always joyful, Fawnleap tends to worry too much. She tries very hard to be a helpful warrior, but she's not a good hunter, nor a good fighter. Nevertheless, she is always eager to learn abd will keep trying over and over until progress is made. She's never been ambitious, just wants to succeed as a warrior and live out her days with a loving mate and kits.

Wolfpaw nodded in agreement with his new mentor. As much as he would love to finally scout the borders and smell the beautiful scent of the forest, he obeyed his leader's orders and walked towards the apprentice's den. There was four young cats inside, all starting to get situated in their nests. Wolfpaw remembered that he didn't have a nest, but he still walked into the den, because he honestly had no idea where to get the moss for nests. "Uh, Hello. Does any cat have an idea of where I can get something for my nest?" He meowed, finding that all four cats' eyes were on him.

ˢᵗᵒʳᵐᶜˡᵒᵘᵈ licked his paw and swiped it over his ear, getting fidgety. Normally he could be as still as a statue for hours on end if needed. But curiosity made him nervous, and he found himself moving around while he sat. A paw-flick there, a tail wave there. He squinted, searching for any sign of the leader. When Whitestar and Morningsound returned, he gave his leader a respectful nod. His eyes burned with a thousand questions, but the sun was setting. He would have to talk with the leader later, and find out what was happening to Morningsound. He hoped she could stay, she seemed nice. As the sun began to set, he handed the guard position over to another warrior and went to the den. He would speak with Whitestar later. He settled into his nest, knowing it would take him a minute to sleep with so many thoughts in his head.

Larkstar smiled, glad her new apprentice wasn't too upset. As he padded obediently away, she went to her private den and sighed. Perhaps things would ameliorate now. She curled up to wash her tabby pelt, eyes shut as she did so. Once finished she lay down, wishing for the ease of sleep to come quickly.

ᵛᵒˡᵉᵖᵃʷ Volepaw looked up as Wolfpaw spoke. "Hello, and congratulations. There is a aopt there for your nest," he said with a wave of his tail. "There is spare moss behind the medicine den for you as well." The tom gave a friendly purr, thinking it funny how he had known Wolfpaw all his life, but talked with him differently now.

ᶤᵛʸᵖᵃʷ Ivypaw nearly replied to Wolfpaw as she entered the den, but Volepaw beat her to it. She flopped into her nest, wishing Ebonypaw would come back to the den. Their nests were side by side, and she was cold without him beside her.

"Thank you, Volepaw." Wolfpaw returned his friendly purr and stepped outside the den to collect some moss. Volepaw was a young, strong tom that Wolfpaw always watched as he went in and out of the camp with his mentor, Nightfrost. He respected Volepaw and occasionally ate some fresh-kill next to him during his eating times, and he used to play with him back when he was still in the kit den. After all, they were only one moon apart. It was hard to believe that now they would be training together.
Wolfpaw stepped back into the den with some thick moss he carried over with his teeth. He laid down the moss in his designated spot and snuggled in to get comfortable, but before he closed his eyes, he found himself with a question lingering in his mind. "So, isn't there supposed to be another cat here? Ebonypaw?" He asked, trying not to sound that eager to find the answer. He quickly regretted asking the question, and scolded himself in his mind for being nosy and acting before thinking.. He braced himself for the upcoming answer from the cats.
