I'm very happy to say that Velvyans will live on under a new owner. That owner being me, Plop!They seemed to have died out near the end of 2013. Since then, I have purchased them from doodles; and plan on creating as many as I can for you all to adopt. I hope they can gather lots of love and become as big as many other adoptable species I've seen.
A Velvyan is a corgi-like creature that 'peels' or 'hatches' out of a flower-like egg. At birth they are about 5 inches tall at the shoulder and no bigger. Some however can be smaller in size at birth. Upon reaching their adult stage a Velvyan ranges in size from 10 to 12 inches tall at the shoulder. Velvyans' diet consists of berries, nuts, and tunneling creatures only. Velvyans can have any fur color variations, however light colors are very uncommon as a 'base coat' color for a Velvyan. Velvyans with lighter base coats are considered 'superior' to other Velvyans as they can acquire up to two companions and keep both an equal and happy relationship. Velvyans have long tails in which they can use to hold things up off the ground for five hours at a single time.
- Rule of Owning/Adopting
☁ No co-owning Velvyans.
☁ No bribing artists during or out of competitions.
☁ No changing a Velvyan at all unless given permission.
☁ Please do not add 'hair' to a Velvyan. Short bangs are fine.
☁ Velvyans can have a max of 3 accessories unless told otherwise.
☁ Don't complain if you don't win.
General Rules
☁ Velvyans mate only three times in their life; each three months spread apart.
☁ Once a Velvyan is mated, it is mates with its 'mate' for life.
☁ Velvyans must be mates for two months before breeding.
☁ Velvyans have one pup for each litter. Twins are extremely rare and are usually only born in superior families.
☁ No mini-modding. Leave the moderating to the people who are mods.
☁ No bugging to be staff or asking when positions will be available. They will open if/when they open.
☁ You may own up to three Velvyans

Newborn - Berries
Adults - Burrowing creatures, berries and nuts during the winter times
Adults - 10 to 12 inches at the shoulder, AKC registered Corgi sizing
Newborn/Child - 5 inches tall at the shoulder
☁ Coat and Body ☁
Lighter colors as base coats are uncommon; light ranging from a very pale color to white. Velvyans with base coats of the said color are often considered 'superior' to other Velvyans. Most has 'natural' markings on their bodies; however some do have unnatural and 'unseen' markings. All color variations are possible, however the lighter a color is the less common it is and the darker the color is the more common it is. Velvyans are adults within a three month period, however they cannot become adults before the three month period is over. It is usually on the last week of these three months that they begin to grow.
☁ CHS ☁
Celphius Hornus Syndrome is a rare disease in which Velvyans do not grow bigger than hatchling size. This is very rare and often does not occur. If a Velvyan has CHS, it was/is born with the syndrome. Their minds are forever like a childs, and so they will never mate in life.
☁ Companion ☁
All Velvyan's have a single companion in which accompanies them through their life. The deer-like creatures are known as Veritens, derived from the name Velvyan itself. Veritens choose their 'masters' at birth; even if a Velvyan is born the 'stars' would have already decided it's companion. Once a Velvyan mates; it's mate's Veriten will mate with it's own Veriten forever. The offspring of two Velvyan, will receive the offspring of two Veriten's as a companion.
• Each artist must create at least one design per month. Doesn't matter what time of the month.Artist Guidelines
• When designing, keep to natural colors as much as you can, with at least one unnatural accent color. (tip; Velvyans with a lighter base coat are rarer.)
• Line edits are not allowed. Adding small accessories are fine as long as I (Plop) approve of them first.
• Artists are allowed to have custom(s), but please don't ask for one right away (if you are a newer artist).
• When posting your designs, always be sure to have at least one question in the adoption form. (refer to Velvyan #1 for an example). Everything else in the form is up to you.
• Always add an end date or some indication of when you will end adoption tryouts.
• You choose the winner of your design adoption, unless you want me to help you judge.
Artists "Need-To-Knows"
• There are three stages. Egg, Newborn, and Adult.• If you are planning on starting a Velvyan out with an egg, you have to design all three stages and hide all of the stages, but the egg stage before posting! Once you want to "grow" them, hide the egg stage and un-hide the second stage. Same thing for the adult stage.
• Try to design the egg to correspond to colors of the adult.
• You can adopt out an egg, but you must choose a winner before you "grow" the Velvyan.
