I watched. I had a hand over my core so they couldn't see it. I narrowed my eyes, waiting. I didn't want to get noticed, that and I have been barely keeping out of reach of the shadow. I closed my eyes and side. Funny thing, was that my siblings lived in the north kingdom. I had ran away from home and ended up here, in the west kingdom. I listened to Ero's soft breathing to help try and calm me down. I didn't need to make myself noticed.

〜 Ilia & Dire〜
Ilia crouched in the bushes, staring fixedly at a doe. The deer had no idea she was there. Ilia silently touched Dire's head, then drew back the string of her bow. She released it and the arrowhead sank deep into the doe's chest. She struggled for a moment before dropping to her knees, then her side; the poison on the tip of the arrow almost immediately paralyzed her heart, thanks to Ilia's long practice with hitting her target. As the rest of the herd fled, Dire leaped out of the bushes and bent over the doe's head, staring into her eyes as the light faded from them. He looked back at Ilia, his tail giving a small wave. She straightened and stepped over to him. "Thank you," she whispered, ever so gently closing the doe's eyes.

Renn|West Kingdom|Wolf~Torak|North/West Border

I glared at the girl from the North, we always needed new recruits and the Kingdoms often fought over them. She wished she could cross the river but then she suspected the North wouldn't be happy about that. Her train of thought was interrupted by Torak. Renn He called out to me in our heads. I think there's someone behind us. I mid slightly, quickly glancing behind me. I see nothing, just a flash of whi- Wait, what?

"Can you tell me anything about it?" She asked once more.

Rose;
"Well," I say to the new girl, giving the West Kingdom person a furtive glance, "you're here because you walked through a stone gate, right? You were just randomly drawn to it, no explanation. It's called the Elder Gate. We've all come through it. Well, maybe not everyone, but I did. Three years ago. It means you have a strong heart, being brought here. And you have a purpose to fulfill here. What Kingdom are you from?"

Khalil;
Snow and I wander through the woods aimlessly, the setting sun filtering through the immense tree canopy. Snow looks up at me and asks, "Where are we going?"
I ponder this for a moment, then reply back, "I honestly don't know. Hunting maybe? It's better than waiting at that camp for Rose and Alari to come back. Those two take forever. What do you think they're doing?"
Snow says, "Who knows. They're probably stirring up trouble somewhere. That's what they do best. They stir up trouble wherever they go, really. Remember that market fight over in Ouni a few days ago? They almost got themselves killed. Lucky we were with them or they'd be dead."
I nod, listening to him, "Yep, I remember. It was a good fight though. Oh, remember that one time wh --"
I'm interrupted by loud crashing noises from our back. It sounds like some animal went berserk. Snow and I dive into a clump of bushes to our left, and we get out of the way just in time for a small herd of deer to run past. They look terrified, and they're running from something.

Devon
Zephyrus trotted on lazily, reaching the border of the West and South kingdom. Devon looked over to the West just in time to see a girl release her arrow. He watched her perfect arrow catch the doe with skill that was unmatched. "Did you see that?" Devon asked in awe. See what? Devon grasped his mane. "That girl over there. Go over there," he directed. He could feel Zephyrus release and exasperated breath but he walked to the girl. "That was amazing."

I pressed myself to the ground. I had been spotted. Ero! I warned. She laid next to me. I held my breath, golden eyes wide as I waited. I kept my core under me to keep it from showing we are here. I clenched my jaw tigghtly. My hand going to my sword as I prepared myself for a fight. I knew the one girl was a west, the other a human but the other I suspected to be the North. I never paid attention to that stuff in school.
