I love it. The Shredding Machine. Haha!
Goldy doesn't shed as much now,
her fur is much more thin than
it use to be. Her mate, who
passed away a while ago,
he was a Husky, and boy
did he shed. It looked like
it snowed when shedding season
came around.
It truly is frustrating.
I get enough bad
reactions from strangers.
I don't need a relative to
be afraid of my dogs, too.
Part of it, I think, is that we
decided not to put the dogs
in another room when my
niece and her parents came
over. This irritated the mom
especially, because she hates
big dogs. She owns a Boston
Terrier, which is funny, because
Bostons are under the 'Bully Breed'
category, and she's afraid of my
'Bully Breed' dogs. It's really too bad.
My dogs love children <3

@Joe Kerr, I say to that....THEIR LOSS! c;
Your dogs are lovely <3 And seem very, very sweet. All of them do <3
Also, lol, I can only imagine the Husky shedding! I'll bet that was a real job!

I'm not a fan of how their faces get all white when they get older though. I mean, it happens in all dogs but very drastically in red Goldens.
I love it. I think they look wise and distinguished. :P

Oh my gosh, what a cutie! <3 Gotta love thise snow faces!
(By the way, that's awesome! A sanctuary for seniors!
I wish we had one of those around here.
It's heartbreaking seeing these seniors -especially those who've spent their whole life with one family- at animal control. <\3)

I'd love to at least foster a senior, but with me currently working with Dixie and with her issues, I just can't.
I have been, however, contacting various rescues about seniors in our shelter and a nearby high kill. So far, all of the ones I've alerted them about have been pulled. <3
And also the dogs on the urgent lists.

I still think seniors are gorgeous <3 With lovely faces.
I suppose if one just doesn't like Goldens or seniors, one wouldn't understand.

I like them, I just don't like the look of their faces. Maybe it's just the way those 4 of them looked. Dixie looks much different than Amber, her face is thinner and less droopy. I'm actually not sure what Amber looked like when she was younger

There's a saying, that I very much agree with;
If you want a young, good looking dog
but but can't handle them in their senior years,
and will put them in a shelter
then you should get a plush animal instead.
I prefer senior animals.
They need less exercise, most are housetrained
until they reach an age of incontinence, they
are polite, and quiet. Most of all, in their many
years of living, they have learned how to love.
Receiving the love of a senior animal is the
most precious thing in the world. More precious
than money. <3
