Whitestar shrugged sitting down at a border. "I found the clans That's all and a warrior is a full grown cat. When your a kit your a child and your mother watches you I am sure you know that one. Then an apprentice is a cat learning fighting moves and hunting. Then when they know all they need to know the cats name is changed from "paw" to anything else. like "claw or feather or fur" When your a warrior you have more freedom and no one to look after you besides all the clan cats. But it also mean we expect more from you and that you play your part as a warrior. Soon you might even be able to train an apprentice when you learn so much. But me I am a leader. I uh rule, again. But its not entirely my opinion. I have a deputy and the clan gives me their opinion. All the leaders have the name "star" at the end of their name. My warrior name was "White-eyes. because of my eyes." he said looking over at her.

It took a moment for the young she-cat to take all the information in. She thought about her own name, Morningsound. Her mother, for the few years she had stayed with her, had told her that the name Morningsound came from her love of the sound birds and insects chirping in the early morning. There was no mention of the clans from her mother, but then again, her mother always stated that Morningsound's father was a 'mob' cat, which she assumed meant that he lived in a group with other cats as well, so maybe that was where she got her clan-like name. "..So, does that mean I should carry on as an 'apprentice'? So someone can show me the ways of your clan more clearly?' She raised her pale blue eyes to meet his icy-white eyes.

Whitestar nodded amazed at how well the she-cat was picking it all up. "Exactly and since your a little lone here I am going to let you pick any cat tilted as a warrior or higher to be your short time mentor. You don't know everyone here so pick someone you trust or think you can learn the best from. When you found a nice cat come tell me and I'll see if they don't already have an apprentice or are too young." he rarely gave cats this privilege. But loners it wasn't rare. he remembered joining a clan and wanting to pick his mentor but got a random cat which he needed up hating. He wanted to pick the one cat he knew but he couldn't. So she didn't have to go through that he let her pick.

"I guess I should probably go and meet some cats, then.." She said with a bit of humor. I don't know a lot of cats here." But why not just ask the cat she's known since she was 8 moons old? "Why don't you just mentor me?" She paused for a moment and continued speaking. "I understand you do not have lots of time to spare as a leader, so I can go meet some other cats if that would be better." It wouldn't take long for Morningsound to completely trust Whitestar, but it would take some time for her to completely trust the strange new cats. The real problem was if they could trust her, for being some loner that just came out of the blue one day.

Whitestar was about to talk about heading back but then she offered another idea. He didn't know what to say. He thought it would be a god idea because secretly Whitestar had too much free time. But on the other paw he had not trained a cat in ages. "Sure!" he finally said after thinking. "If you really want to. A nice change in a young leaders life." he said smiling, his long white teeth showing. He stood up. "Well, Morningsound that's the borders. Would you like to head back and find your new den? I can appoint you as my short-time apprentice and then test what you know tomorrow."

Morningsound's ears perked up with delight. "Thank you, Whitestar." Nervousness and excitement fluttered in her stomach. The sun had already set. As Morningsound walked back to the main camp with Whitestar, she saw some cats looking at her, but she smiled instead of looking away. There was no point in turning her back to the strangers now. She could see the bonding and love between the cats, and hoped that she could be just as kind with the other cats soon. "Whitestar, will I be sleeping in the Apprentice den or the Warrior's den?" Her age was just in between, and she wouldn't mind either of them. Maybe she could make some friends within her den? or maybe sleep is very important to them and there is no talking in the den? All her questions would soon enough be answered.

Whitestar walked back with her and nodded to his deputy when he passed. Looking at her when she asked him the question he glanced at both dens and thought before he answered. 'Whatever you wish. I would suggest the warriors because afterwards your going to be sleeping there for a long time. If you slept in the apprentices den you would have to get to know the warriors as soon as you changed dens. Over there's the medicine den" he added pointing to it with his tail. "Then that's my den. If you have any questions come and ask me. Even at night I'll answer them. if your concerned about something I am open about that too." he said hoping he was helping her feel more at home. The last time he let her in a group he wasn't exactly friendly so he was hoping he could start making up fo it now. maybe in a couple of years that will get paid off.

ˢᵗᵒʳᵐᶜˡᵒᵘᵈ licked his paw and swiped it over his ear, getting fidgety. Normally he could be as still as a statue for hours on end if needed. But curiosity made him nervous, and he found himself moving around while he sat. A paw-flick there, a tail wave there. He squinted, searching for any sign of the leader. When Whitestar and Morningsound returned, he gave his leader a respectful nod. His eyes burned with a thousand questions, but the sun was setting. He would have to talk with the leader later, and find out what was happening to Morningsound. He hoped she could stay, she seemed nice.

Larkstar touched noses with her apprentice and as he turned to face the clan she purred. When the cats had gone back to their duties, she said to him, "It's getting dark soon. If you'd like, you can go make your nest and talk with the other apprentices. I would take you out now, but I don't want to be out when the sun sets. It's dangerous for a young apprentice at night." She felt bad, not being able to show him the borders right away. "I promise I'll take you on a nice long tour of the territory tomorrow though, if you'd like." He was her third apprentice, so Larkstar knew how eager cats were to see outside of camp for the first time.

ᵛᵒˡᵉᵖᵃʷ Volepaw smiled at Wolfpaw, turning to go into the den. It wasn't too crowded, only five apprentices slept here, now. Formerly four. Volepaw made sure there was a spot clear, but didn't build a nest. He would have, but the tom might have a particular way he wanted it.

ᶤᵛʸᵖᵃʷ Ivypaw trotted to the prey pile to eat one last mouse before the camp settled down to sleep. It would be a few minutes before it was really dark, but she saw a bat flutter above. Her teeth bit into a juicy piece of prey and she curled her tail around her paws.

Morningsound nodded. "I'll take the warriors den, then." She glanced at his den and the medicine den as he pointed them out. There was never a 'medicine cat' back in the hunting group. If you got hurt, you got left behind. She awkwardly walked into the warrior's den, wary of the cats already nesting in it. Before she fully entered the den entrance, she looked back at Whitestar. " I thank you and your clan for your hospitality." and with that, she stepped carefully through the den and found a vacant corner. She curled up in a ball and almost immediately fell asleep. She didn't even notice that all the other cats in the den had scruffs of nests they were sleeping on. She didn't care. It must have been days since her last full night of sleep. She was finally at peace.

Wolfpaw nodded in agreement with his new mentor. As much as he would love to finally scout the borders and smell the beautiful scent of the forest, he obeyed his leader's orders and walked towards the apprentice's den. There was four young cats inside, all starting to get situated in their nests. Wolfpaw remembered that he didn't have a nest, but he still walked into the den, because he honestly had no idea where to get the moss for nests. "Uh, Hello. Does any cat have an idea of where I can get something for my nest?" He meowed, finding that all four cats' eyes were on him.

sorry to have disappeared, but i was in a car crash. i'm okay, but it's been hard to get anything dome with no car and sick grandparents. i'm back now, and ready to rp!
