You have a simple character an someone has something similar but of course there's something different too. How do you feel about it? What if they honestly never saw your character and it was an honest coincidence because it's a simple design?

I'd just go with it. Unless there's a marking or something that is just too similar to pass it off, repeats happen. People use the same colors, the same designs, it's not really their fault if it's similar, it happens.

I'd leave it alone unless there was something EXTREMELY similar about it. If you take a look, a lot of people have natural dog breeds and most of them look pretty similar. Just because a lot of people have, say, Shibas, doesn't mean it's copied c:

Most of my OCs designed by me fall under the simple range x3
i wouldn't be very happy about it, but it depended on how similar they looked
however if one of my really loved ocs fell under this then this is war
i'm kidding, but if it was galaxy being "copied" then dang i would be really unhappy about it
if it was a super minor character i doubt i would even care or notice though xD

but, for example, if someone's OC had the same design as swiftstar i would be cool with it [though annoyed admittedly] because she's super simple. But if they were using the same name, personality, history, art etc. THEN i would get very annoyed

I'd feel annoyed that it was so similar, perhaps question them about it. But ya'know, it was your design first and you know that so yours is the better one;D
