What is a Jewel Maned Fox
A Jewel Maned Fox is a fox like creature, about a medium sized dog sort of size. They have bushy Tails and large ears but the most noticeable part is their manes. Each Jewel Maned Fox ( or J.M.F. for short) Has a mane with six large jewels in it. Males are often slightly larger than the females and have larger manes with larger jewels. They also have different appearances depending on what part of their planet they live on.
Jewels
Their jewels are the sometimes the same colour as their eyes, but not always. These Jewels cannot be removed, and only when the J.M.F. dies will they break ( not of, they just get tones of cracks). They are not born with these jewels, they grow in over time an take around half a month longer than the mane to become full sized.
Appearances and Areas
Planet Carathean is similar to Earth, not only in size but in terrain. The planet has three continents which are connected with small island chains. The one furthest north is the smallest and covered in snow and thick dark pine-like trees. The largest Continent is made up of part large dense woody forests with lots of rivers, the other part is mountainous and rocky. The third continent is warm and fairly flat, covered in long dry yelowy grass, the trees that grow there are bare at the trunk with large amounts of leaves on the top. The rest of the planet is mostly oceans with some tropical island.
J.M.F's look a certain way depending on what area they are from. (The following list will be given diagrams soon)
Mountains: Ram-like horns and larger claws to help with climbing.
Forest: Antlers like an adult deer's.
Snowy: short horns, similar to a young deer's and long fur around the paws.
Savanna: A Uni-horn and large canine fangs.
