Looking back at Luke, she sat down next to him. She hesitated before she gently took his arm, pulling his right arm out from behind him. She winced slightly seeing the blood. "Why?" she asked, running her thumb along his hand. They weren't deep, just normal boxing wounds pretty much. She stood up, holding out her hand for him.

❝ Brooke leaned over the rail in her balcony and looked down below at the heart shaped pool. I took another drag of my cigarette and puffed the smoke out in hoops. I hoped someone would come out and be near the pool, so at least I could have someone to talk to. I turned around to see Molly peeking around the corner of the door. I smiled happily and put out my hand. She padded over and licked my hand. I gave her a pet and a treat from my pocket. I then continued to look over the rail.
