This is a Weeping Angel fanfiction story (if you don't know what Weeping Angels are, I'm afraid there's nothing that can be done to save you :3 sorry) inspired by P o m's Angel thoughts here.

It's about a Weeping Angel that falls in love with a human... Yup. I shall try my best to make you all cry. Even though that means I'll probably do the same. Anyways.... moving on to the story.

Prologue
A cold figure stood between the two doors of the apartment building, its wings lowered dejectedly and its face covered by its hands. The rain pelted the stony guardian unmercifully. Few cars drove by in this stormy weather, and the mournful angel was glad of this. An oak door behind the statue creamed open and a young woman came out, bundled up in warm clothes and carrying a large umbrella. She opened the umbrella and stepped out of the cover of the building into the storm. She slipped one gloved hand into her coat pocket and walked down the wet steps. As she walked away down the sidewalk, she glanced back at the angel statue. It always seemed to have such a heavy presence, and the girl felt as if, when her back was turned, it was watching her. She smiled at her silliness and shook her head as she walked away. Little did she know that, as soon as her back was turned, the supposed statue lowered a wet hand to gaze wistfully after her. As she disappeared into the light mist, he covered his face once more, hiding the drips of water on his face that hadn't come from the clouds. Angel Atticus resumed his stony watch over the gloomy street, awaiting Alyssa's return.

Chapter One
The next day looked promising. The clouds of last night had passed on and the sun shone brightly overhead as Alyssa walked out the door that morning. She stopped on the edge of the stairs to look around contentedly. The happiness the sunlight gave her brought out a little of her inner child. She spun around delightedly, grinning with glee at the blue sky. When she stopped, she was facing the statue. She smiled at him.
"Poor angel," she murmured sympathetically. "You had to stay out here in the cold rain all night. Well, today looks nice. I hope you have a nice day, too, angel." She turned and walked away, Atticus watching her leave with a sad smile on his stony face.
