Moonsong opened her eyes, she was in a vast forest temmimg with life. She watched as a familiar pelt strode to her. "Mother?" She whispered "yes, Little One, I am here" she replied. "Thank Starclan! What do I do? Nettlewind has been acting strange! Like-like he doesn't want to be around me..." Her mother licked her head,"you aren't doing anything wrong, but sometimes these things happen." "But I love him...and the kits..." She stuttered "only he can decide what he truly feels," her mother said. Moonsong watched as everything faded "No! Wait!" But nothing was there but darkness. Her eyes flew open, and that's when the pain hit.

Nettlewind couldn't let anyone in. He really badly wanted to let her in but... he couldn't. What is wrong with me? he shook his head back and forth.

So much pain she couldn't even cry for help. Waves of pain passed through her. Nettlewind! but she knew he couldn't hear her. Rain began pouring down, seeping into the den.

Water soaked her as she began to lick at a tiny wet bundle. The kit mewed and crawled to her belly. theres still one more. she thought. Then a new pain came, worse than anything she'd ever felt. A flash of lightning,a deafening clap of thunder, and a bloodcurdling scream in the night.
