But now? It's usually miles above what the pet is worth, appended with "I can dream, can't I?"
Sure you can, but an auction isn't the place for your fantasies. Put something there that is actually within reasonable range of what you are auctioning and is slightly in your favor, and you could actually get it.
My biggest annoyance is the "Might be for auction" auctions. Either do it or don't. If you're waffling on whether or not the pet is actually available, I think I'll just keep my pets to myself till I find someone more decisive.
O, I must agree with you here
The autowins are completely and utterly rediculous anymore
I would be insane if I traded my jewel for a set of store dogs

And the might be for auctions, I also am super annoyed by those
For me, you either should S*** or get off the darn pot
I dunno, between those maybe auctions and auctions that go on forever, I am spent with frustration

Yeah, autowins are normally pretty ridiculous, but if you want to get a dream pet for cheap, then an auction is definitely not the place to get it. -.- I've entered tons of auctions, trying to get a Green Toxic, yet, there are those people who wouldn't mind over-paying by offering like 3 times more than the actual worth of the pet auctioned. So now I don't really go to auctions....

My autowin is a rainbow smoothie plus two Julys, I think its fair enough but some people think its worth more, or less depending on whether they like items or not.
*sigh*
I feel dead.
I'm really sorry to all the bidders since it is dragging on forever, but because I can only get on during the weekends and the holidays for a decent period of time. Now its the holidays I hope it gets better.
On Permanent Hiatus. Or, have quit. Pretty much. Might come back one day.
Have a nice day. I love you all.

i found someone with a grey dragon for auction, and they said that they were going to end the auction when someone offers a yellow toxic

someone told them that wouldnt be fair, and one of their replies was:
well that's the posint of an auction is to overpay

or something like that. first off, it would be totally unfair, and second off, if you are only wanting a yellow toxic, isnt that considdered just a trade?

it sort of made me mad, so i sent them a PM saying i was withdrawing because in was over offering already, they answered with:
whatver.
ugh. it just made me mad, i had to rant xD

A slight overpay is one thing.. a massive one is.. not something you will probably receive.
I always figure people actually WANT their autowins, so why they set them worth ten times what they're auctioning, I don't know. It seems counterproductive to me.

I think the thing with really high auto's is that if someone REALLY wants the pet, they would/could be willing to pay extra to get it. However, a '09 Uncommon with an auto of a Sunback is just mad... I've seen it once or twice too...

I understand that newbies may not know everything, but I don't understand auctioning uncommons/commons/very commons.

I don't get it either, unless it's a massive hoard or something.

I may really want say.. a Non-Balloon. But I'm not going to pay a Sunback for that either. I'm also not going to pay a Zebra. Or a Dogtag.
A Non-Balloon is a valuable dog. But there are reasonable autos that are an overpay that would be worth the dog to people who really want it... and then there's the ones you see nowadays, which are absolutely ridiculous in every way.
I said it once, and I'll say it again.. "I can dream, can't I?" is probably the one term that makes me run, not walk, away from an auction. An auction is -not- the place for your fantasies. Sorry.

I think it's OK though if it's a 'rare' Uncommon, like the PeaPS...
