- Greetings! This is the first art competition I've ever hosted so please bear with me as I might tidy up rules, etc in the early stages of this competition.
I'm looking for art of my Golden Retriever, Dixie, and thought, why not create a contest? So here I am.
Dixie will be 3 years old this April 7th. She's a full-blooded Golden Retriever with red coat. She's very active and bright, and LOVES balls. She is OBSESSED with balls!

- I will keep ALL art submitted, and may upload the art to a host such as flickr for safekeeping.
- By submitting art you are agreeing to let me use said art in character threads, galleries, and similar places. I will never claim the art as my own and you will be given credit.

- OVERALL Winners are chosen based on the quality of the image - detail, expression, composition, anatomy, dynamics of pose
- All levels of artists are allowed. From beginner to advanced artists.
- Both traditional and digital art may be entered.
- No color-ins or drawings done in the past. I'm seeking ORIGINAL art ONLY of Dixie, specifically.
- You may enter as many pieces as you like.

I'll go ahead and admit it, this was a very difficult to choose only 3 to place! All of the entries were so wonderful. <3
Third place goes to...Saburou Nekomiya! This entry really jumped out at me. ^^ I love the use of the colors and the uniqueness of it. ^^

Second place goes to...Meraa for their entry of a Golden smile from Dixie. c: It's amazing! Those eyes are just brilliantly done and I really like your style! Far out!
Aaand -insert drumroll here- FIRST PLACE goes to...Jay~Feather's extremely realistic drawing of Dixie! I was totally blown away by your entry.

And since I had so many favorites, I couldn't resist but pick a couple of runner-ups. c:
1st runner-up is Chime with her realistic traditional drawing of Dixie!
2nd runner-up is *BlueWolf*! I can tell how you worked on defining Dixie's muscles and build. ^^
