↳ her name is derived from the Arabic language and translates to "destroyer of sins". Since Kronadors are evil, malevolent beasts upon Ashini's home land, they are considered sins, and she has taken it upon herself to destroy them appropriately and thoroughly; devoting her entire life towards ridding her land of such horrible creatures - they are a disgrace to her kind and her personal values. Thus, she was given the name fitting of an East Indian goddess created to annihilate inferior creatures and monsters.

short story : I watched him approach, cautiously and timidly up the hill upon which I rested, not retaining direct eye contact as he did so. A flower was held in his jaws, tenderly, but I could find no warmth at the notion, and thus watched stonily on as he continued to grow closer and closer to me. "Ashini...I brought you this rose..." he mumbled, glancing away and dropping it at my paws, shifting his weight from paw to paw in unease as he awaited my response. 'It is a beautiful rose...but what do you try to prove with it?" I inquired, nudging the beautiful flower closer and leaving him no room in my focused gaze to squirm away from the directed question.

"I...I thought maybe you'd like to go out on a date?" Ah. The inevitable question, coming after the token. I rose to my paws, tail swishing in agitation behind me. The thought of maintaining a relationship with another was not one I wished to entertain for long - my purpose lay in the fighting of Kronadors, disgraces to my homeland and my kind's sworn enemy. I did not hate those who had found love and enjoyed their mates and pups, but that sort of life did not hold any appeal to me. I wanted to fight, to be free, to relish in the feeling of triumph as the blood of a merciless Kronador soaked into my fur, to feel the burn of wounds as they healed and left their mark behind that I had ultimately turned out on top.

There was no room for such things in the life others led. "I must decline. I cannot see it in my future that I die happy with a family of pups. There are things I wish to see, those I wish to meet, and Kronadors that are my duty to slay and keep from harming the pack." Straying closer to him, I gave a sigh and nuzzled him tiredly. He was my dearest friend, and I could not deny that perhaps some time in the past we had been great friends, but my life promised the excitement of battle, the flurry of melee and everything I desired could not be gained with his image of a life together. Turning away, I bound through the soft lavender-blue grass into the night, finding solace in the beautiful pool and waterfall my mother had grown up at and in turn shown me.

Staring into the rippling water of the pool, I sighed, swatting the water and sending a spray of glittering droplets flying. Could my dreams of the destiny I longed for truly be so condemning to a lonely life?
