"other then the fact that he has a staring problem, and that he was mumbling gibberish, he is fine" Loki replied, "He does have scars though" the god had herd all of the random comments, the "We match". the thing that bothered Loki the most was the fact that the whole time the other was watching him. it was almost to the point of overanalyzing of his face. Loki had not want to tell them that he didn't have enough knowledge to stop the scars either. His scars were smaller then if the wounds had been allowed to heal naturally, but they were still visible.

Loki pulled out an open chair and sat down in the chair. Healing magic took more out of him then most magic, he could care less about what the others would say about him sitting down as they only had ever seen him stand. His legs crossed and he lightly kicked the table, "Well are you all going to gawk at me or are you going to go check and see if I didn't slit his throat?" He asked with one quick laugh, it was still obvious that they didn't trust him and he didn't want to trust them ether. the god placed a stray hair back into place, even with his hands lightly covered in the others blood he refused to look anything but his best

As Loki spoke, the Avengers nodded. They didn't even care if Tony had scars; at least he wasn't going to die. Watching, Natasha raised one slender brow as Loki sat, coming to the same conclusion that all of her friends had; it had taken a lot out of Loki to heal Tony. Enough, at least, to make him not care about sitting down in front of them, something he undoubtedly hated having to do. After all, it let them all look down on him for a change. No one made a comment about it though, all of them far too grateful to try and taunt him. After all, they had all come to think of that as Tony's job, and since Loki had just saved Tony's life..

When Loki spoke again to dismiss them all, Steve and Natasha left the room, going to check on their friend who had fallen asleep after Loki had left him. Bruce and Thor lingered, Bruce looking a little awkward as he slowly approached the trickster god. "Hey, um, I just wanted to say.. Well, thanks," he said, offering a little smile. He didn't give Loki time to interrupt as he continued, holding his hands up. "I know we're not friends; you don't like us and, for the most part, we don't really like you either. But it's pretty obvious that what you did for Tony affected you, but you did it anyway. I know you probably have a reason for it, and that's okay. You healed my friend, and that's all I care about. So thank you," he said, smiling a little more openly this time before he nodded to Thor and turned, retreating back to the room where the others waited, leaving the two brothers alone.

Thor said nothing. For the first time in a long while, he was completely alone with his little brother. Walking slowly, Thor stopped when he was standing right beside Loki. He stood there for a moment, his gaze on Loki as he thought, before he turned so they were side by side, Loki in the chair and Thor standing. In one solid movement, the thunder god sat down, one knee coming up while his other leg rested down. He still said nothing, merely sat beside Loki. He had missed this, the times they had spent merely enjoying one another's company. Thor fondly remembered the times they had spent in each others company, Loki reading while Thor practiced, Thor drinking mead as Loki drank his tea, or when the two would simply sit among each other, enjoying the quiet, much like he was doing at that moment. Thor decided then that he would be the brother Loki deserved. He would be kind, he would be loving, grateful, and anything else Loki needed. He would help his brother overcome anything, would see that Loki found himself once again, even if it killed him. Thor was going to get his brother back.

Humans and their thanks, loki would never understand them they were too mushy and held to many feelings. He only did what he had done because it benefited him, If it didn't he wouldn't have. Loki never responded to Bruce's comment, he was either to tired or trying to be stoic still, he was to tired to care. The go watched them all go into the room, a small part of him felt jealous at how so many people were willing to go visit the now healed man knowing that so few would be willing to do the same with him. he brushed it off as a weakness and the feeling was squashed.

Emerald eyes closed and he let out a sigh. why healing magic took more out of him then other magic he didn't know, he didn't have to focus on the other magic but the other magic was more complex. The trickster god waited for the others to come out and tell him how he had done a bad job, how he could have done better and how he didn't do enough, it was the lack of trust for everyone that made him that way. for the brief moment he didn't even bother to move away from Thor, he would need the energy to defend himself when the others came back.

Currently at Stark Tower...
As the others entered the room and approached the table on which Tony was lying, they said nothing. Their tense faces showed just how unsure they were all feeling, but they said nothing to one another. Walking forward, it was Steven that spoke first. "I guess he really can heal people," the Captain breathed, his brows up in surprise even as he spoke. They were all pretty surprised, actually. Tony looked.. Well, he looked good. Like Tony. Sure, his skin was still bloody and there was hardly anything left of his shirt, but that didn't matter. Even the scars didn't look nearly as bad as they had thought they would look; the small lines crossed over his body but didn't stand up too far from his skin. They weren't even an ugly pink, instead looking about the same color as the rest of the man, just shinier in comparison.

Loki had done a great job.

"Shouldn't we, I don't know, put him in his bed or something?" Natasha said after a moment, voice quiet as not to wake Tony. He was probably pretty tired, and he would only get better sooner if he rested. The Avengers agreed and, between the two of them, Steve and Bruce were able to hoist the man up and carry him to his bedroom, Natasha guiding them the whole way. They were sure that Stark wouldn't be happy in the morning, partly because of the events of the previous day, but also because they had left him in his sullied clothes when they had placed him onto the soft bed, effectively dirtying the nice linens. They were just glad he was okay though, and would gladly put up with his complaining in the morning. In the mean time, they were all tired as well. The Avengers were glad yet again that Tony had made adjustments to the Tower, adding a room for each of them to stay in. It was times like these that it really came in handy. Darkness had fallen, leaving the exhausted team more tired than they would have been.

Natasha and Steve retired to their separate rooms, Steve wanting to sleep and Natasha tired yet still worried about Hawkeye. Bruce, on the other hand, paused when he came within view of Loki and Thor. He was positioned just so, in such a way that prevented the two gods from seeing him while giving him a clear view of them. They weren't talking, weren't even looking at each other, but they both seemed rather content. Or at least resigned to what was happening, in Loki's case. Thor looked pleased and peaceful though. Bruce smiled as he watched them for a moment longer, until he decided he was being a little creepy. He walked forward and within view, clearing his throat so they would know he was there.

"We're uh, we're all pretty tired.." he began, feeling a little sheepish. "Thor, you know where your room is right?" he asked, nodding when Thor smiled and nodded. "Okay. Well, uh, Loki? There's a guest room next to Tony's.. You can stay in there; he won't mind." Bruce said with a smile. He was starting to like Loki a little, or at least accept him. Loki was a lot like Stark, a man Bruce had quickly grown fond of. They were both witty, sarcastic, and way too smart. Both the mortal and the god were hard to deal with at times, yet great allies to have. They were also both slightly unstable, completely untrusting, and a little broken inside. Taking his glasses off, Bruce rubbed the bridge of his nose as he often did, turning to retire to his own room. "Oh, and Loki?" he said, waiting until the god looked at him to continue, "You did a good job." With one last smile, Bruce turned and left, going to his own room to rest.

Thor couldn't help but smile. His friends were slowly coming to accept his brother, Bruce even seemed to like him a little. Thor was silent for a moment before he spoke, his voice both soft and quiet. "You could have my room if the guest bedroom does not suit you," Thor offered, smiling though he wasn't looking at his brother. He doubted that Loki would take the offer, though he still wanted it to be out there. "I will sit with you until you're ready to go to bed," he said after a moment. He was enjoying the presence of his brother. Just being next to him, feeling him so close, it was healing something within the thunder god he hadn't known had been broken. With that, he fell silent once again, content with just sitting on the floor next to Loki.

Loki sat in the chair for a few moments longer, when no one accused him of doing a bad job or any of his other fears he was honestly a bit surprised; he always was accused of something, having done something else behind the scenes. When banner came up to him and told him he did a good job he was honestly shocked, though he didn't show it in any way other then opening his Emerald eyes. His eyes darted in the direction to where the scientist had pointed, but lingered for a few minutes longer. When he got up he made no comment to Thor and headed to the guest room. the feelings of the humans were getting to him, he did not like feeling these kinds of things, at all.

Loki's slender hand grasped the door knob and opened it walking inside. the god shut the door closing it behind him still staying silent. gazing around the room he realized it was decently furnished, he would tolerate it, it had more in it then the cell he had resided in. He pulled the sheets to the side folding it neatly in a triangle. The god used his magic to change into fresh clothing with a swift moment. he slid in between the sheets pulling them over him, not a wrinkle left behind from him entering the bed. his eyes crossed the ceiling he was still thinking about why they had not accused him of something, it felt unnatural. Eventually as time when by the gods eyes drifted to being closed, and he fell into a very light sleep where even the slightest sound would wake him, though he was never had been a heavy sleeper

Anthony "Tony" Stark - Iron Man
«☼»
Male - Human
Currently in in his lab,
trying to distract himself.
Sometime in the middle of the night, long after his friends had retired to their separate rooms, Tony had awoken. This happened to him a lot; nightmares would plague him, forcing him awake in the middle of the night. He would wake panting, terrified and on the verge of panic. Standing quickly, Tony hardly felt how stiff and sore his body was. He ignored it, shoving the feeling away as he quickly walked to his door. He opened it and, without so much as a glance around him, walked through. He was making little noise, his shoes hitting the floor at a normal volume and his breath coming in quick, panicked gasps. He had to- gods, he didn't know, had to do something, go somewhere. He had to get out of here, out of his mind, out of the past that threatened to drown him. It was happening again, he thought, he was having a panic attack.

Stark quickly made his way to his elevator, pressed the button and got inside. His hands clenched and unclenched, making and releasing fists as he tried to stay calm, tried to ignore the tightening in his chest, the quick breaths, he didn't have enough air, there wasn't enough air he couldn't breath it was terrible and hard and he hated it and panic was all he knew. Finally the elevator arrived, the doors opened and he all but threw himself through them. Gasping loudly now, Tony went to his chair, sat down, and closed his eyes. His hand went up, clawing at his chest. He must have taken his ripped shirt off in his sleep, as his hand felt only skin and the metal of his ARC reactor there.

He needed help, needed something. This was going to end him, he realized. He closed his eyes tighter, tighter, tighter until he saw bright colors behind his eyelids and it hurt. The pain was good, he decided. It focused him some. Even as he thought it, visions began to flood into him again. There was that terrible darkness, the hole in the sky. A heavy weight was on his back and he knew, he knew it was the bomb. He had to fly it into the hole, had to save everyone, had to.. To die. He was going to die. He knew that as he flew forward, as he flew into the hole. He knew he would die, and it terrified him. He didn't want to die, he couldn't die. Anthony Stark couldn't die, dammit! But he was going to. He would die, and no one would care. No one would come to pay their respects. No one.

Stark's eyes flew open and a pained sob escaped him. "JARVIS," he choked out, calling for his friend, his only friend. "JARVIS, how's everything?" he asked, trying to make small talk, trying to calm down. He was burning up, burning up from the inside with fear and hurt and god the panic.
"Sir, you are having a panic attack," JARVIS replied in his regular British accent. "You need to lower your breathing rate sir, or you're going to lose consciousness." That wasn't helping anything.

He couldn't do it, couldn't do it this time. Everything was wrong, wrong inside and outside and he just couldn't do it. He was flying towards that hole again, that bomb on his back, and there was a big wolf clawing and biting and ripping and tearing him apart. He was dying and there was Loki laughing at him and his team didn't see him, didn't hear him, didn't help him. There was Loki laughing and watching him fall from the top of Stark Tower, watching him fall into the mouth of that awful wolf. There he was watching and laughing and Tony was screaming, screaming, screaming so loudly his throat hurt! It wasn't until he had run out of breath that Tony realized he had been screaming in real life, not just in his head. He had never been so thankful that the lab was soundproof.

Shuffling in the room next to him woke the trickster, he had been a waken from his light sleep. it felt like it had only been a few hours that he was actually resting. the god was used to getting little sleep, long nights reading book after book, or trying to figure out ways to trick thor and any other poor and unwitting soul. with out a sound he rose from his bed, he was unable to go back to sleep even if he tried, things were still on his mind from earlier that day or had it passed midnight, he turned to look at a clock 12:53, it had just hit after midnight. the god fixed the bed, leaving no indication he even had slept there.

"I need a drink" he muttered, he wasn't talking about alcohol but water or some tea, just something, when he heard another noise. the god waited a moment or two, the clock had clicked 12:55 with its red light, and peered out the doorway, only to spot Tony, the man who should be asleep up and walking. getting wounds healed was exhausting for both parties, so why the man was up and able to walk was beyond him. forgetting his thirst Loki crept behind the man, staying to the shadows like a cat. when the other entered his lab, he did too fallow but not into the lab in his normal form, he picked a small mouse for this one. again he watched from the shadows, hearing tony Scream at nothing. what was going through the mortals head? nothing here, at this moment was a threat.

Anthony "Tony" Stark - Iron Man
«☼»
Male - Human
Currently in in his lab,
ashamed and having a breakdown.
Tony stopped screaming, though it wasn't because he had been able to make himself. No, he had just run out of energy to scream. He felt so hopeless, so helpless about all of this. It just- it wasn't fair! Tony shoved himself up from his chair, knocking it over in the process. He seemed to enjoy the feeling of being destructive, mostly because it took his mind off of his thoughts, so he continued. He threw everything off of the table before him, flinging papers and gadgets all over the place before, with one final shout of pure brokenness and rage, Stark flung the table as well. It toppled over and slid a little ways, but it wasn't nearly as satisfying as Stark had hoped it would be.

A sudden sharp pain went through him and he all but collapsed, landing hard on one knee with his hands planted firmly on the ground before him. His other knee came down as well, leaving him kneeling on the ground, his back to the elevator and the guest he had no idea was there. He just felt so empty inside, so hollow and broken. He knew that was what it was, too; he was cracked in too many places, and now his seams were too loose to hold in his stuffing. He was going crazy, was losing himself in the madness around him, in his head. He was drowning in something that no one else could see, and he had no way of escaping it. This was a pivotal moment in the life of Tony Stark; he had never broken down like this before, and probably never would again.

Tony felt something cool and wet on his cheek and, reaching a shaking hand upwards, he realized he was crying. Crying. Tony Stark, the genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist did not cry. He did not. It just- it wasn't right, he thought. The thought of it caused a sob to bubble up, and soon he was crying openly. Tony sat down cross-legged on the floor, holding his head in his hands as he sobbed, crying for the first time in.. Well, since he could remember. He cried for his mother, cried for the father that had never loved him. He cried for dead friends and Phil Coulson. Tony cried for all of the terrible things he had seen, had done, and what had been done to him. Tony cried for everyone else, but he did not cry for himself.

His tears stopped, leaving him quivering on the floor, unsure of what to do from there. Tony needed to get up, needed to straighten the lab and go back to bed like he was supposed to, needed to hide the signs of his instability and brokenness from his friends. He couldn't get up though, even if he had wanted to. His panic attack and the exertion that had followed it had left him too tired to move. He wanted to just lie down and sleep, sleep and never wake up. Gods, Tony wanted to die. He actually wanted it, as much as it scared him, and that thought scared him too. "Sir," JARVIS said after a moment, sounding almost worried, "Should I wake the Avengers?" Tony didn't have the strength left to say no.

Loki watched from the shadow, he watched the breakdown. the little mouse scurried out of the way of the breaking Chair staying to the shadows. the little mouse feet lightly scratched the metal of the floor, it wasn't loud enough for the man throwing a tantrum. He begin to clean himself, the way a mouse would do, licking one paw and fluffing his silky black fur. to be honest he was doing it to stay in character, mice went little time without cleaning themselves, but he was also doing it to distract himself and think. why the man actions were getting progressively worse, he truly didn't know. There was no one trying to enrage him but the man before him was angry none the less, it was like the random crying or the random yelling. while the little mouse watched the thought came though his head, shouldn't the mechanical voice know he was awake? or was it with holding that from the now crying man

Anthony "Tony" Stark - Iron Man
«☼»
Male - Human
Currently in in his lab,
ashamed and covering everything up.
"Sir, shall I wake them? The Avengers, sir," JARVIS repeated. He didn't want to do it if it wasn't what was called for in this situation, a situation he had never been placed in before. Was he to alert his master of Loki's whereabouts, or should he not mention them? Was he to call upon the Avengers to help his master, or should he not wake them? If he could have sighed, he would have. He was very unsure of what to do, and he said as much. "Sir, I am very unsure as to what action I should be taking," he said simply, leaving it at that. It seemed that his master had heard him this time, as he received an answer.

Tony cleared his throat and stood. Though he was slightly wobbly from his lack of strength, he gave an easy reply, as though he hadn't just had a breakdown and had merely been tinkering with a new gadget down here. "No thanks, JARVIS, that won't be necessary." His voice held a smirk, it was strong and clean, clear of all signs of what had just taken place. Inside however, Stark was far from fine. To distract himself, the man looked around him and sighed. He had to clean all of this up before anyone else saw it. They would think he was attacked or something, he thought.

Tony began picking everything up, placing everything where it had been. He gathered up the papers last and sat them all neatly down. Everything was perfect, in the spot that it should have been in. Leaving it like this would alert Bruce that something was up. Tony sighed and messed with everything, moving that slight, mussing up the papers, even dropping a pencil to the ground by the table. Once everything looked a little disorderly once again, Tony nodded to himself. There, he thought tiredly. It was done. He sat down in his chair, only able to spin around one time before he realized he was out. He was done, finished; he couldn't even walk back to his room. "Great," he said darkly, "Now I'm stuck here." This was going to be a long, long night.

"JARVIS," he said suddenly, "How is everyone upstairs?" he asked.
JARVIS replied after a moment of thought. "Everyone upstairs is asleep, sir." He felt as though he was lying, but that was impossible; JARVIS could not lie. Instead, he was withholding the information of Loki's whereabouts, which was most definitely not upstairs..
