Maple

She open her jaws to speak, and then she shut them. Maple finally says " Maple. And it looks like you guys might want to get out of that house right now. " she pokes her head in a hole under the house and spots the foundation. It was cracked and eroded away. Not to mention the supporting poles where split and trembling. It was probe belly better for them to get out and them destroy the house so that no one else will go in and be trapped.

Amaia had been watching from the battered window. She planned to go out sometime to see the dog, but her males seemed to be doing alright. At this rate, they'd have a new member in no time.
At her name, she padded out from the house. She was calm, and said nothing. Her eyes narrowed as she studied the female. She was large. Her fur had a lot to do with it, and the humidity probably didn't help that. Amaia had been listening, and knew Maple's name already. She flicked her ears as she felt a drop of water slowly dripping into one of them.
Finally, after a few seconds, Amaia met the large female's eyes directly and said, "I'm Amaia. I overheard you'd like to join my lovely accumulation?"
The house gave another dangerous crack that made Amaia bristle again. She didn't take her eyes off of the female, though her eyes narrowed and her heart raced. If the house collapsed now, they'd all be blown into the water. She felt a shutter at the though, but held it back.

Maple

She barked hurriedly "yes yes, is there anyone inside the house right now? " maple leaps up and races inside. "Hey , if anyone's inside,get out now!!" She barks and howls. The house gives a great tremble. The great big Mastaff sticks her head under the house and quickly notices the fourth pole holding the left side of the house had broken. The third pole was shaking badly and very splintered. Only the second pole was still in tact. "Hurry!!" Maple turns to Amaia, "I'm gonna knock the last pole down so the house will fall into the water. You guys can get on it and float to a drier spot down south. Please hurry!" Maple crawls back under and begins gnawing on the pole.

Amaia's ears pinned and she let out a snarl. Who did this female think she is? She looked at the rest if her small pack, eyes narrowed and angry. Maple was right, but they had to get away before the house fell. It would stay on it's leg until they could. Yes it was tilted and yes it was breaking, but there was no point I'm making it worse.
The alpha female tore across the slim land that didn't have water sloshing onto it, and took hold of the red frmale's tail in her jaws. Amaia but down hard on the female, pulling back with a snarl. Maple was heavy, but Amaia inched her away from the house.
"Are you mad? I make the decisions here, mutt, and it's best not to defy me!" She snarled in the female's face aggressively.
A strike of lightning silhouetted Amaia's body of Maple's. Her bared fangs and forward ears were threatening. It was clear that this alpha meant business, broken house or not.
Though Amaia would have liked to rip a few fur tufts from the female, she was smarter than that. Stepping away from Maple, but still bristling, she looked at her pack.
"We leave now."

demo flicked his ears when Amaia spoke and gulped. he watched her drag the dog away. he looked between the house and the water and slowly backed away from them both, frightened of the water before him and frightened of the damage the house could bring when it collapsed. "Amaia, do we have to go across the water?" he gulped as the house let out another eerie creak. the last thing he wanted was to float across the deep water, oh how many bad things could happen in the water. get stranded away from the other dogs, or... or drown. he shuddered at the words, slightly embarrassed by his fear.

Amaia's fiery gaze transferred to Demo, the nervous male before her. Her ears flicked in annoyance towards the male's fear and her tail sliced the air in a pressured flick. She glanced at the rushed water. It's roar filled her ears, but the rain had let up, and it was better than it was before.
"Yes. We swim across in pairs." She retorted to the male, "Problem?"

Willow walked out of some trees and stopped when she heard talking. Then she slowly and carefully walked towards the dogs not making a sound, she didn't want to be spotted. Willow didn't know what they would do to her if they saw her.

demo shook his head "no, sorry" he said, lowering his tail. he walked forward "did you say swim?" he asked nervously. it's not that he couldn't swim, he could, not well but he could, it was the fact he'd been avoiding water for 2 years and never planned on going near it after the numerous times as a puppy. a shiver ran down his spine "so who's pairing with who?" he asked, keeping his expression neutral.

Amaia thought for a moment and glanced at the dogs. There wasn't an even number, but She suspected Smith could handle himself. After all, retrievers had webbed feet right? Just as she was about to answer Demo, another dog caught her eyes. She walked towards the who was on the other side of the small island carefully.
"And who might you be?" She asked the pitbull in a serious tone.
Now they had an even amount of dogs, and it would be easier to get across the water. Her eyes hadn't softened, but her fur laid flat now, and she looked overall less angry.

demo bounded over to the dog and studied her closer before looking back to Amaia "I didn't hear an answer" he said with as much of a smile behind his voice as he could manage with the current situation.
