I would try it out, but our equipment became worn out a couple of years ago, and we don't have the funding to purchase new equipment.

You know, you could look online, and see if there is a place nearby that rents out poles!
I rent one of my poles, and it's only $75 for the whole season c;

Well, last summer was my first year, but I got 6ft.
And my school doesn't have a winter team/spring team doesn't do pole vault.
So only summers for pole vaulting for me. :c
