Dante asked with a slightly smug chuckle, spreading his knees and quickly going to support his elbows on them, all this time watching her curiously. He shifted his gaze onto his hands, as he continuously fidgeted with his fingers, but not necessarily out of nervousness. More because of not knowing what to say.
