[The Winter Soldier]

((o.o this roleplay seems to be going the way of alternate universe so O.o yeah i'm allowing the hobbit characters ))

"Who are you?" Legolas demanded, turning away from Éomer and faced the strangely-dressed large company, fingers tightening around his bow in suspicion. "We have never seen your kind in Middle-earth before."

"I am Vanya. My group and we came from a place called skyrim and these two are Harvard and Ralof my feline friend over there is Ahkari and the elf on our group her name is Saelweth and her father celaenon was taken captive" Vanya said not particularly liking legolas at the moment

Saelweth looked at legolas she was exhausted and feeling rather weak she would have said something but she was staying down she was injured so she didn't know how she could help her group.

Legolas glanced down at the elf whom 'Vanya' had pointed out to be Saelweth. To his surprise, this was the same elf who had fought alongside him, until she had transformed into a large carnivorous cat and had started tearing up the orcs. To his concern, he noticed the mounting bloodstains on her clothes, as well as the scarlet tainting the ground around her; everyone else, he noticed as well, looked just as exhausted, and there were quite a few wounded with the Skyrim company.

Skyrim. He rolled the strange word around on his tongue for a moment, murmuring it under his breath, but it didn't sound very familiar. Translating it into Sindarin did not work, either. The word sounded very vaguely familiar, and Legolas racked his brain, trying to recall if he had ever learned about this 'Skyrim'...
Yes! Skyrim was a country, distinctly alike to Rohan, that was located past the mountains to the East; but the peoples of Arda and folk of Skyrim rarely communicated; Legolas remembered learning this some long time ago, when he was an elfling. The Skyrim folk were not wicked, as he heard, so he softened his façade and bowed to Vanya.

Before he spoke, he knew the wounded would first have to be treated. He knelt by Saelweth, who was closest, and rummaged around in his meager pack for healing supplies. They had left most of their unneeded things back at Emen Muil (I don't know how to spell it, sorry, will look it up), but luckily he had thought ahead enough to bring this. He grasped 'Saelweth' on the shoulder in a silent request to stay still, and carefully began removing the ragged shreds of cloth from around the wound. He grimaced very slightly at the sight of it; an arrow wound, and it was jagged as well, as was wont of orc-wounds, so he gripped the shaft of the arrow stuck in it, braced himself and pulled. Luckily it was not overly deep, and it came out surprisingly smoothly, and he quickly set to mopping up and stemming the tide of blood, before closing the wound with a gentle but firm hand and wrapping the bandages around it.

"It is a long story and you probably would not believe it if I told you in the first place but i will tell anyway and see if you really believe it." she said and added "A few days ago i discovered a tablet with a map on it the map had locations not sure what they where but we are currently investigating these areas I believe them to be the buriel sights of some very large dragons not as large as smaug maybe almost as large but if i'm right about this then chances are some of these dragons could get revived by Alduin destroyer of worlds he's also called the dragon of death" she said

Saelweth looked at legolas as he bandaged her up she was really great-full that he had decided to help her "thank you is there chance that arrow is poisoned?" she said worried that it might have poison on it.


Ahkari had run off after the white arabian that belonged to saelweth the beast was fast but not so fast that he couldn't catch up too it e seemed to ride the animal back over to the rest of the group before saying "this beast is not very brave and I don't think it likes me but then again horses hate me I am cat after all" he said

Legolas felt a trifle overwhelmed as he was responded by many of the Skyrim outcasts, so he focused first on the task nearest at hand. He peered closely at Saelweth's wound, and though it was definitely worth concern and was still trickling scarlet, it didn't seem life-threatening at the moment and there was no unnatural discoloration of the blood. Carefully removing a few last splinters, he faced Saelweth again and reassured, "I do not think it is poisoned, and if you keep still and do not strain this overmuch, no infection should set in. My friend Aragorn would be able to check you over again if needed," he added.

He straightened and turned back to Vanya, stunned. "Dragons?" he demanded, bewildered. The elf knew of the large dragon-nests in the Withered Hearth to the East that had used to nurse young dragons, but most of these dragons had minded their own affairs and flew off to distant lands to care for themselves; one of the only dragons known to have actually attacked folk of Middle-earth was Smaug, the Great Worm, and he had died long ago. But then again, perhaps Skyrim was different when it regarded dragons.

"You believe there are dragons in Middle-earth?"

"I believe there are buriel grounds not living dragons but dead ones and I believe that some dragons from skyrim have also taken up residence here a few in particular I could have sworn I saw not too long ago flying among the clouds although it is uncommon for dragons to leave skyrim I suspect that the recent war in skyrim has driven many of benevolent dragons from skyrim and the aggressive ones over the border I found some evidence of them as we traveled out of skyrim we where also pursued by a dragon as we left one by the name of Alduin." she said

((the dragons of skyrim are essentially what smaug was O.o a worm of sorts or wyvern but dragon kind none the less))

Dragons, more dragons right here in Arda?! Valar forbid! The last thing they needed now was for a dragon to sack another treasure-rich realm in days like these. What if a dragon allied with Sauron, or some other preposterous event such as that?
Legolas forced himself to calm down as he continued asking Vanya questions, now quite curious. "Alduin? Is that the name of a dragon that has crossed the borders?" he asked. Though he was rather confused at why dragons would be considered 'benevolent', he knew that the realm of Skyrim was little-known to the peoples of Middle-earth.

"He is and he is probably the worst of them all but intelligent enough that he would not openly attack people not until the right moment of course a few of the others are Sahloknir who owes his allegiance to Alduin as well Odahviing Paarthurax and Durnevhir." she said

"there are others as well female dragons and their young but only four females that we know of are here we are not certain if Alduin himself even has a mate he might but we aren't too sure we know Sahloknir odahviing paarthurax and durnevhir have mates we aren't sure whose side the other three are on but we suspect there may be more then just those who have names" hadvar said


Alduin let out a loud roar as he descended from the clouds he flew in close above their heads and stopped hovering with his wings flapping "Zu'u Alduin. Zok sahrot do naan ko Lein! Daar Lein los dii. " he said with loud roar and added "Nust wo ni qiilaan fen kos duaan." he concluded and landed for to inspect the group he seemed to be looking for weaknesses and he seemed bold enough to approach them and brag as well as introduce himself.

"Do not attack he is unpredictable this is the dragon i was refering too" she said as alduin pretty much inspected before flying off towards the east as if heading to the withered heath.



((to translate what he just said: I am Alduin. Most mighty of any in the World! This World is mine. Those who do not bow will be devoured. keep in mind vanya knows what the dragon is saying. he's speaking the dragon tongue ))

Legolas listened attentively, his mind enraptured as he heard Vanya talk about the dragons of Skyrim and explain the mannerisms of this 'Alduin'. It appeared to him that 'Alduin' was a dragon that the folk of Skyrim both respected and feared; it gave Legolas a menacing chill just listening to this talk about the worm.

He nodded slowly when she was finished and made a move to respond, when it suddenly seemed that darkness fell over them. He looked up, startled, the more foolish part of him expecting to have seen the sun go out, but no! a large winged shadow was blocking Anôr, and it seemed to swoop down and head towards them, and for a wild, terrifying moment, Legolas thought that the Nazgûl and their winged steeds had come to them at last. He let out a shout and in one movement unshouldered his bow and shot an arrow towards the creature, but to his great astonishment he missed. But the figure turned out to not be a Nazgûl's mount, but something almost as bad; a dragon, an enormous dragon, was coming towards them.

Legolas expected them to be dead in an instant, but the dragon stopped and hovered above their heads many feet above them, and made no move to attack. But Legolas's fear was not lessened when the dragon began to snarl out strange words in a twisted tongue that sounded harsh and uncouth to the elf's ears; it reminded him much of the Black Speech of Mordor. Once the dragon had left and spiraled off into the sky, heading off into the East - leaving them all in one piece, surprisingly enough - Legolas turned back to Vanya after she had finished her explanation.

"That was Alduin?" he demanded, masking his fear with ire. "What is he doing in Middle-earth? Why were you ordered to not attack him?"
