He got into the front seat of the car. He had never actually been to Raleigh's house, he wasn't usually invited to these types of things. He didn't evan know that Raleigh new who he was. He was getting a little nervous so he rationally decided to start rambling on about anything that came in to his head.

Drake gunned the engine, driving out of the driveway and towards Raleigh's house. He listened to Sam's rambling before asking, "Sam, what do you have to be nervous about? If you want to leave the party, you can just tell me. Heck, if you don't want to go, you can tell me that too."

[ZOWIE M]

"No" replied Sam "I want to go". He had rarely been to parties and got nervous about being put in a social setting in general. He worked hard to keep quiet on the rest of the way there. He didn't want Drake t think he was too nervous.

Eyrn looked around, unsure. She didn't come around "here" too often, but she sometimes did. Thinking, she randomly said, "Well," Letting go of the breath she'd been holding because she was a little anxious. "I think the park is fine, unless you have any other ideas." She said, trying not to be shy and looking up from the concrete which she'd been looking at before.

"Are you sure? I have no problem going somewhere else, less social. Remember, you're talking to a loner," Drake replied, looking over at his friend as he stopped at a red light. He didn't want to pressure Sam into anything, remembering what happened last time they went to a party. Drake ended up drunk and Sam was a wallflower stuck with taking him home before he did something idiotic.

"No" said Sam said more surely this time. He considered for a second and then said "but don't get too drunk this time". He than looked up and pointed at the now green light and they kept driving.

Drake chuckled as he pushed the car forward saying, "Alright, I won't overdo it, I promise. Let's get to the party." He drove on and they soon arrived at the party. He parked on the street instead of the driveway so they wouldn't get blocked in. Sliding out of the driver's seat, he said, "Well, seems like this party has gotten off without a hitch. Come on, let's go inside."

Sam slid out of the front seat and walked up the front path to the door. He hesitated for a second wondering weather to knock or let himself in. He opened the door just a crack and peeked inside. Everybody else was already there, he opened the door wider and walked in leaving the door open behind him for Drake.

Drake followed Sam inside and patted him on the shoulder saying, "Go mingle. When you get tired to company, come find me." He headed off, leaving Sam to his own devices. He knew the kid could last for a bit in his own before eventually wandering back to the loner and so wanted to give him that opportunity to have some fun before he clammed up.

Sam walked away from Drake into the living room. He stood looking around wondering what he should be doing. He decided to go get a drink from the kitchen.
