S T R A Y *~*~ Dog RP, Accepting!!!!

Lane trotted swiftly down the usually-pale sidewalk, now darkened by the recent rain showers. Why was he in such a hurry? Why, he was after something edible to eat, that would give him enough energy to make it through another day. Even when the scent of other dogs--two, to be exact, male and female--caught in his nose cavity, he did not stop to investigate. God, no. Why converse when you had more important things to attend to, like your constant, gnawing hunger? Only his stomach answered with a jarring growl. "Food! Just try and find some food!" it seemed to yell.

And so, the brown-and-black dog turned down a street corner, nose lifted into the air for even the slightest whiff of something edible to fill his stomach for the next day.




Annabel, however, had gotten lucky enough to find some food. She was now chewing on the slim chicken bone, which she had stripped of its meat in a matter of seconds only a few moments earlier. Two rats were eying her mere prize with beady, lustfully hungry eyes, causing her to let out a low growl at them and bare her teeth. They were not phased and continued staring; the collie rolled her eyes and just continued gnawing.

While chewing, she felt an odd twinge of envy toward the dogs who still had people to care for them. They never knew a day of hunger, or a night of being wrapped in an everlasting chill, or even the feeling of being betrayed or rejected.

She sighed and stood, moving steadily away from what was left of the bone, leaving it to the rats.

Malina popped her head around a corner, watching a pathetic dog scavenge through trash. Her trash. The fae dropped low and stalked near it, then watched. It's orange fluffy fur reminded her of her companion Ace. He had only gone to relieve himself, she thought. The aidi dog growled, then leaped and pinned the intruder. "State your business!" she snarled, amber eyes gleaming with power. "M-malina?" the dog said. Malina calmed down and got a good look the dog; it was her dumb stray friend Ace.

→ ace.

Ace had completely forgotten about going back to Malina, who'd been waiting for him to.. do his business. A delicious scent of freshly taken out goods from the bakery caught his attention. He trotted over to where the can sat, then tipped it over rather loudly. He cringed, knowing it'd given him away. He dug through the garbage, picking out the fresh stuff. Suddenly he was pinned by some she-dog. The scent was female; his Malina. "M-malina?" he said, looking up at her. Her face expression calmed, and she got off him, not bothering to help him up.

[BT!]

((Bump.))

[Ruined Veggie]

"Aww, cheer up!" Jack barks, "Don't say ya' don't belong somewhere when you aren't completely certain. I mean, I've never even seen you 'round until now."

Dala turned a corner and bumped into a brown & black dog, "Oops! Sorry about that."

[BT!]

Lane yipped in surprise, but then pulled his ears back--not completely, but some, to let the female dog know that he wasn't exactly happy to run into her. "Well...hello to you too." He gave a the air around her a quick sniff, just to detect whether she had anything to eat lately.

Dala stared at the dog in concentration, trying to figure out who this dog was, "Hmm... Are you that 'Lane' dog? I think I've heard of you before. Your brown with black, my guess is that you are not a patient dog, and you look like a typical stray. Am I wrong?"

[BT!]

The part German Shepard dog pulled his pointed ears forward. How did this fae know so much about him?

"I...suppose not." He didn't know he actually had a reputation among the local strays, but maybe his name had gotten around by the dogs who might've known him from the various times he'd stolen another's food. Keeping his reddish brown eyes trained on the female, he barked in a husky voice, "I guess you know me, so how about you tell me who, exactly, you are?"

Dala took a small step backwards looking slightly offended, "I'm Dala, the dog that knows everyone dog and human in this town." She sat down, "Well, most humans. I don't know the ones by the pond. I also don't really MEET them. I usually just beg them for food."
