also that wolf is super cool !! i rly love how clean your lines are
the only thing i could really critique on it would be the antlers, they should start on the head like this

You all are just wonderful, I tried to incorporate as much as I could within the bounds of keeping him cute and stylized. This is how he turned out :3 (some of the details are harder to see because of his fur color but his eye brows are slanted, I brought his head down, tried to fix the shoulder, and adjusted the tail). All of the redlines were very appreciated <3

Okay so all the posts up to here really has been focused on and i honestly can't say more since most are worlds above my own skills. I can however say that you guys are brilliant and that i will jump in whenever i have something to add..
pfdc.. My human and horse anatomy sucks but it looks really great, the effects seem little undone, it looks like its floating above instead of coming out of the hand... it twist some tendrils around the hand
Koyaki... Its really great I honestly cant say anything about it... it is quite the improvement though!

As for my request for advice, here we go:
Image
I know the shading is very sloppy but i will fix that up, anatomy is my biggest problem as well as light source. any advice is highly appreciated.

Tide Keeper - have you tried using black lines, or darkening the brown of the current outline? It's a bit hard to see what's going on with the face.

Twisted Swallow - Nice puppy c:
Some suggestions for you:
- The snout looks very tall, I would suggest bringing the mouth and jaw up
- The chest looks a bit small, have a look at this reference pic for comparison: http://photos.chickensmoothie.com/Dogs- ... /i-q7Qx9qt
- I think the bend in the far front leg should higher up. Here's a few reference pics of dogs with their front legs bent:

His bandana looks great to me ^.^

Don't forget what his breed is when it comes to anatomy!
Also desgin wise, Labs aren't spotted ^^(I saw his ref) maybe just say lab mix? Labs don't come spotted that I've seen

^ PFDC your first picture looks neat. I'm not sure a horse's front leg bends that way though? You might want to look up some ref pics to compare. I think the hoof on that leg could use a bit more shaping too, it looks a bit cylindrical. Ref pic from wikipedia
I like the second picture, it looks really powerful. As for suggestions, I think the perso's eye is far too close to the front of their face. Perhaps make it less wide as well? I'd also suggest bringing the chin in a bit, but that could just be personal taste.

These are some rough sketches of a character I'm working on for a contest. The first one I noticed the head was rather far forward so I shifted it back. I'm unsure if I have the anatomy correct for a creature with 6 legs? Feel free to redline.

For the set of front paws that are on the ground, I am planning to use the style I sketched up the top (the left set) as I think the second set is too detailed compared to the simplicity of the rest of the character. The tail is very roughly sketched so don't worry about that, I plan to make it closer fit the first sketch than the second.

@The_Tide_Keeper - That chibi looks really cute! I really like how you colored the eyes 'v'

@Twisted_Swallow - I agree with what the rest said about the anatomy, but here's a shading tutorial that might help you: X

@PFDC - Personally I'm not that confident with horse or humans, so I can't really say much, but here are some general tutorials that might help:
Humans - 1 2 3
Horses - 1 2 3

@Solloby - Ah, that creature looks really cool! I don't really see much I can say in terms of anatomy, but you may want to make sure the right legs on the ground line up 'v'

@PessimisticComposure - Since you're going for the MLP style, I know that Pix3M @ DA has done a great set anatomy notes that could help you: 1 2 3 4

@PFDC: Wow I love your art! I mostly love the second piece! First picture: The raised leg, it could be a little thinner where the leg goes to the hoof. There is a joint where it can 'turn' his hoof, and unter that it get narrower before going to the hoof.
Second picture: maybe change the flamy things at the hand? Make it shoot more with action? Maybe you should try to keep the lines of the flames less hard, a little more pale, and add some sketchy like lines, to show the action.
Really nice art! I love it!

@Sol: nice dragon! But I'm not sure about the fins on the tail. It doesn't really match the spikey ones. But it looks nice! I have the idea the first front paws (the raised ones) are a little too thin at the upper part.
Really nice work!

Alright, I need some help with an oekaki drawing. No idea why I did it in oekaki and not PS, I can't work with oekaki well.
I noticed the tail is too short, and I did the legs too thin. Any advice how to fix it?
(the whole image, not just the tail and paws)
[[EDIT: Feel free to redline]]

twisted_swallow;; try bringing the right front leg up more. it's sort of vertical now, making it seem stiff and like it's a stick jutting out from the chest. you could try to make it more horizontal? also the legs look kind of long.

PFDC;; i love the way you shade! i suck at horses so i can't really critique much but in the second picture the person's profile looks wonky. i think the eye is too big and the chin goes out too far. also the character has no lips? but overall they look epiccc

Solloby;; that looks really cool! all i have to say is that the paws on the second set of legs look a little wide.

sabjebammie;; do you think i could do a redline for you? if not i can just give advice through words. c:

@Forward
It looks great, though I think the ears might be a bit misshapen and kinda small (but its hard for me to tell from this angle)
Though I did do a small redline on them, hope you don't mind c:
