... We got less than two weeks.

Here we get one break after each school term, which lasts two weeks, and after 4th term (which finishes in/just before December) we get 6 - 8 weeks depending on which school.

we got the Monday before Christmas to last Wednesday off... Usually we get 2 more days off, but renovations made us a week late, so they had to take away days.
