Fawnpaw nodded vigorously towards his mentor before bounding off after Smallmouse's patrol. How exciting! Maybe Smallmouse will teach me how to hunt, or even fight! his exciting thoughts were roused by a loud yell. 'FOX!' The voice seemed to come out of Smallmouse and Fawnpaw hurried to see the patrol. When he arrived he could see the beautiful figure of Smallmouse fighting the fox and panicked. He stared in horror at the she-cat fighting the large dog-like animal and turned to face Dapplefur, hanging on a branch, who told Smallmouse something he couldn't hear. So this is a fox! Smallmouse, Dapplefur! Fawnpaw scrambled up the tree in which Dapplefur was hanging and shouted at her. Are you hurt? I'll grab Cloverfoot! Fawnpaw half climbed and half leaped down the tree, twisting his paw awkwardly and streaked for his mentor, yowling on his way back to camp. Fox! Fox! Fox! By the time he reached camp, Fawnpaw's yowls had died down to whispers and came out in quick, shallow breaths. He reached Cloverfoot and exhaustedly, though without hesitation, explained the fox incident. I'll fetch you cobwebs! Also, Dapplefur seemed hurt! Without waiting for a reply, Fawnpaw brushed past the medicine cat into his den and drank the overpowering scents, searching for the cobwebs. Once he found them he quickly turned and ordered to the old cat, Follow me, as he went running toward the scene.

Heatherflare nodded at Bearheart's command to go and watched him brush Smallmouse with his tail. It was obvious they would someday be together, it shone in their eyes. Hearing padding behind her, Heatherflare turned her head and saw the form of Swanfeather rushing to meet them. You're late, Heatherflare muttered, although it was so low it was inaudible to her clanmates. As if in answer, Swanfeather apologized and asked the patrol leader where they would be headed. Yes, Bearheart, I hope somewhere we can hunt a bit, I'm starving. Heatherflare yawned largely and stretched her long, slender limbs. Her tone was so serious, and almost awkward. She always sounded so serious, and was always worrying about her 'mistakes'.

everything happened all at once. dapplefur dashed up a tree out of harms way. fawnpaw came, then went. she stood there, stunned for a second, face-to-face with an angry fox, then she saw rainpaw, standing there glued to the spot and came to her senses. sending another blow to the fox, she dodged it's snapping jaws, attempting to reach rainpaw and bring her to the tree where dapplefur was, though the fox's claw's sunk into her flesh and she screeched in agony as it's claws dragged from her face and down her small body. she felt the blood, warm against her skin drenching her pelt. the pain shot through her like fire and her vision blurred, though she shook it off. there was still an angry fox, terrorizing her clan.
she was about to go after the fox again until she watched with horrified eyes as ravenfeather went at the fox and was thrown to the floor, his life taken away as easy as that. terror gripped at her chest, then fear, then anger. smallmouse once again began to charge the fox, though another cat flew out of nowhere and instantly smallmouse recognized it as bearheart. he immediately went for the fox's face, though was flung against a tree. confused and fear-stricken, smallmouse stumbled after the fox, all common sense long gone, and only running on adrenaline. feeling helpless, she watched as it bit rainpaw. she was so close to it, she just wanted to take another whack at it, though the fox left as if they bored him. feeling defeated, smallmouse collapsed on the ground in a pool of blood. her breathing was hoarse and she tried to force rigid breaths into her soar lungs. the world began to spin. that wasn't normal, was it? the world shouldn't be spinning. slowly her vision faded and smallmouse blacked out.

the characters no longer existent include stormfrost, poppyheart, swanfeather, and ravenfeather.
so, let's just say there was one patrol with bearheart, smallmouse, dapplefur, heatherflare, larkpaw, rosepaw, and rainpaw (i might have missed some) and northblaze could've taken patchpaw out for training or joined the patrol, either is fine.

we've all already agreed that ravenfeather gets killed by the fox, but i think more than one warrior death is a little extraneous, so let's just say stormfrost, poppyheart, and swanfeather were never "real" in the first place.

He who cannot howl, will not find his pack.
Ah, dear Wolfwatcher. A loyal BlazeClan warrior born to the lovely Honeyheart and Onefang, and given the name Wolfkit upon his birth, for no particular reason at all. This tom is a decent thirty-seven moons of age, and he is not afraid to say that mischief and adventure have been scattered throughout all of it. Wolfwatcher does not have a crush, nor a mate, and this means he lacks any kits.
To say the least, Wolfwatcher is quite possibly one of the happiest cats around. Happy, but nonetheless wise, and this comes with a sarcastic, and non-serious attitude. A good joke is not unknown to be a part of Wolfwatcher's agenda, and it wasn't uncommon for him to sit with the other warriors, and have them in stitches, with thanks to some witty joke he had in store. Wolfwatcher finds enjoyment in flirting with the she-cats every now and again, but he is a gentleman, and will stand down when he realises it is only logical to do so. Respect is Wolfwatcher's biggest priority, and this often holds him back from interacting with others.
Wolfwatcher is quite courageous, and when it comes down to serious matters, this warrior is all business. Violence is something this tom is not afraid of, and he is quite content to use it when the time deems necessary. Wolfwatcher also chooses not to show his fear, believing that it would be of assistance to his enemies in conflict. With this, Wolfwatcher can sometimes be too wrapped up in a battle, and make poor decisions, often getting himself in trouble. Though he is a skilled fighter, Wolfwatcher prefers hunting, despite the fact it's not where his skills lie.
One of Wolfwatcher's biggest issues however, is his inability to hold onto a relationship. Though his romantic feelings towards others may not be infatuation, Wolfwatcher has always had trouble in showing his affections to others, especially once one gets past the flirting level. Though he may genuinely love someone, Wolfwatcher finds it difficult to tell them at times, which has meant that his past relationships have failed.

If you're looking for someone who has mastered the art of seduction, you're probably looking for young Cougarfang. However, it's certainly questionable where he learned such traits from; since his mother was a loyal, hot-headed lass by the name of Tigertail, and his father was a laid back, rather unintelligent fellow by the name of Rockheart. At the age of 36 moons, this BlazeClan warrior is well known for his smooth talking, and this has often gotten him out of trouble on numerous occasions. Despite his keen interest in the lovely ladies of the clans, Cougarfang does not have a crush, nor does he have a mate.
Cougarfang is quite a charming tom with a rather flirtatious and teasing way about him. Cougarfang loves females and often fantasizes about romance, since he had never experienced the feeling of love for himself. He's a natural charmer, and words quickly flow out of his mouth, and a lot of the time he doesn't even realise that he's flirting. He's quite the gentleman, polite, courteous and has an extensive vocabulary which he developed from his mother, possibly from the extensive cursing he often heard from her.
Cougarfang is an extremely intelligent young tom, and with this intelligence brings his ability to be highly perceptive to detail, as well as a keen ability to focus and concentrate outside of exterior distractions. With this, Cougarfang is quite thoughtful and incredibly creative, which is of assistance in many situations. With this, comes Cougarfang's element of mystery. This lad loves to speak in riddles, ask questions and give perplexing answers; anything that gets the mind ticking is something that Cougarfang just adores, aside from ladies, of course. Being a big thinker has allowed him to analyse problems and develop solutions, as well as solving unusual things by developing links through unlikely pieces of data.
However, Cougarfang is incredibly indecisive, often having to weigh up the consequences before he does something, just in case something goes wrong. This can make Cougarfang incredibly paranoid, especially when it comes down to decisions, often fearing that he may make the wrong choice.

Her hiss had been menacing indeed, but the tom didn't even flinch. In fact, he didn't do much of anything other than give his paw a lick. Confusion swept over the she-cat, she relaxed a little, taking a step forward. When the tom spoke, she perked her ears and made sure to listen. Apologizing for interrupting her and letting her fish escape, she was quite flattered when the tom mentioned her nearly perfect hunting stance. She felt the fur on her cheeks grow warm, a compliment from a complete stranger, a handsome one at that, was always reassuring. She had practiced and practiced that, it was so good to hear another cats opinion. After a moment of flattering, and catching the tom's name, Ellie was weary again. It wasn't often rouges conversed. "Eagle, huh? You from around here?" She asked, her eyes narrowed. She remained where she was, but she couldn't help the curiosity that nipped at her pelt. She hadn't seen this tom before. "I'm Ellieta, but everyone just calls me Ellie," The she-cat said.

It had been terrible, really. The fox had come out of nowhere, nobody had even seen or smelt it coming. Well, that wasn't entirely true. Rosepaw thought she had smelt something strange, but before she could alert anyone of it, the fox was upon them. It had come with snapping jaws and a fire in its eyes, intent to get a kill. Almost everyone on the patrol was injured, Rosepaw was lucky that the fox hadn't hardly touched her. Rainpaw's paw had gotten twisted, Dapplefur had gotten a nasty scratch, and Rosepaw could hardly even think about what had happened next. Ravenfeather was dead. Her mentor, who had trained her since six moons, was gone. Gone as quick as a vole detecting its predator. Sorrow overtook her, wracking her body with pain. How could this happen? Was it because Blazeclan no longer looked to their ancestors? Rosepaw stared at Ravenfeather's dead body from her branch up in the tree, he couldn't be dead. He had to get up, right? The fox had gone, but not every cat was so sure. Rainpaw looked full of terror, Rosepaw twitched her tail. "Aren't we going to go and get him?" She asked, not tearing her gaze from her mentor's body. "He should be up here with us, safe," She finished. Her voice sounded empty, as if she knew the inevitable.

Northblaze was oblivious to the dangers of the fox, after another talk with Ravenfeather and Rosepaw, the two older warriros had decided to split up for now. Ravenfeather had taken his apprentice, Rosepaw, out for apprentice training, and Northblaze had decided to do some battle training with Patchpaw. Now the she-cat was following him into the training hollow, he couldn't wait to get started. He had a new move he would like to show her, one he thought Patchpaw would be successful at due to her size. "Okay, Patchpaw. Today I have a new move I'd like to teach you. It's one I think a cat of your physique would be able to do quite well," Northblaze explained.

Cloverfoot continued his brief grooming session while his apprentice dashed about in search of a patrol to join. Even in his old and grumpy state he still enjoyed watching the young tom bounce around on his nimble paws. That was one thing he envied in the younger cats and he couldn't hide the fact that he missed his younger moons. He was just making his way out of the camp when Fawnpaw came pelting back in a frantic manor, screaming about a fox and searching the den for cobwebs. Cloverfoot's eyes widened with shock and he immediately rushed out, following his apprentice. His joints ached with the effort of running but he ignored the pain and hurried on. The scent of fox was dangerously strong and mixed with the metallic tang of blood. His nose wrinkled and he nearly choked on the smells, but he pushed on. Cloverfoot swept his gaze over the disgruntled patrol, his eyes, once wide with horror, now oddly calm. He'd dealt with much worse than this, it was his job after all. He rushed to the nearest cat, Smallmouse, who was unconscious in her own pool of blood. He hovered over her body, licking frantically at the gashes along her muzzle. His eyes dashed back and forth between the injured cats, trying to decide who needed what. "Fawnpaw!" He called out to his apprentice. "Use those cobwebs on Rainpaw's bite and get her back to camp. Bearheart," He paused from tending Smallmouse's wounds and called towards the fading tom. "Great Starclan! What am I doing?" With a heart beats hesitation, Cloverfoot gripped the she-cat's scruff in his mouth and began hauling her back to camp. The others would just have to hang on until he could come back and hope the fox didn't return.

Patchpaw padded excitedly behind her mentor, her eyes shining with joy. Once at the training hollow she urged herself to stand still. Her paws itched to be running about with something, anything, to do. Her ears twitched as the large tom spoke and she nodded. "Battle training. Alright." Her joy slowly faded when he told her what they were going to do. Fighting wasn't her strongest virtue nor her favorite. But she couldn't complain. Soon she'd be a warrior in Blazeclan and that was all she dreamed about. She wouldn't let her feelings stop her now. "Show me. I'm ready." She growled, puffing out her chest with pride and starring at him with amusement.

He was a cat shaped shadow, liquid darkness mimicking a serpent as he weaved through trees and slid over fallen logs.
He had to be cautious as to where he placed his paws, only on the slickest of leaves, and on the strongest of branches. One crunch of a leaf, one creak of a weak branch, and his air of mystery and danger would be blown, to be fractured and become one of fragility and instability. And as far as he was aware, after observing his new client, his air was something he ever so desperately required. He had been watching her whenever he had gotten the chance. This one was intriguing.

This one was different.

He did it for the entertainment factor, really. He was a showman, craving the impressions of others. It was something he had grown up with, especially being born to two unlikely parents. He had been told he would become a poor warrior, after being compared to his father, and mother. And naturally, words like that hurt, so the tom had to resort to changing himself to suit the good, socially acceptable impressions of others. But as he had gotten older, those cravings had changed to become the desire for the impressions of she-cats, and that was easy. Enticing them with gleaming eyes and a wave of the tail. Whispering sweet nothings and the fulfillment of dreams into their ears until they were drops of rain on his paws. But then he would grow bored, or they would find someone else, and it was over like that.

But this one was so interesting, captivating, compelling.

She wasn't physically attractive, didn't seem all that gullible, and as far as he could see, this she-cat held absolutely no interest in impressing anyone. She intrigued him to quite an extent. She wasn't a clan cat, either, and from what Cougarfang could remember, he had never seen her with another cat, from the few times he had been keeping an eye on her.

She would be unpredictable, and that was simply ravishing.

And here she was. The cougar had finally set his sights on the deer.

As he went to step forward from his current position, and start his little charade, something briefly stopped the dark tom. Something just didn't feel quite right. What if one of his fellow warriors caught him conversing with a cat from outside the clan? It was rather dishonorable, and would once again start up speculation that he was conspiring against the clan. And that was something the midnight warrior simply didn't need.

Oh, but that risk just made the entire ordeal so much more fun!

Oh no, he wasn't going to let that stop him.

So then, it was time for him to start his little game, with the same words that he always did.

"Peek-a-boo," he spoke in his lowest, most syrup-lathered voice. Cougarfang stood tall, tail straight up in the air. He smiled audaciously, silently hoping for his little charcoal angel to look back.

He had been unable to rest the night before, so the ginger tom had resorted to wandering the territory aimlessly, in the hopes that he would become tired enough to sleep.

Wolfwatcher had been having difficulty sleeping the past few nights, and he hadn't been able to pinpoint why. From what he could remember, he wasn't having any nightmares, and nor was he in any sort of pain that might have disrupted him from sleeping. And that was what worried him. He simply could not sleep, and there was no logical explanation for it. He'd considered going and seeing Cloverfoot, but the old tom had better things to do with his time, rather than deal with Wolfwatcher's petty issue. So, the warrior had decided to take matters into his own paws, in the hopes that he would be able to resolve the issue on his own. But thus far, all it was going was leaving him too exhausted to patrol.

Wolfwatcher's paws dragged through the leaves, clumps of dirt sticking to his legs as he attempted to make his way back to camp. Once again, his plan hadn't helped at all. But what else was he to do? He'd promised himself he wasn't going to speak to Cloverfoot about it. That would just been downright silly.

It was then that the scent of blood struck his nose, dangerously laced with the stench of a fox.

And cat.

His instincts screamed at him to flee, but Wolfwatcher ignored them, charging through the undergrowth and almost bowling straight into Fawnpaw, managing to stop himself a few moments before. His eyes drifted to the sight before him, and the feline stiffened. Cloverfoot was dragging Smallmouse by the scruff, and Bearheart, Rainpaw and Ravenfeather were on the ground. "Great StarClan!" the older warrior exclaimed, first hurrying over to Ravenfeather.

Dead.

His body was completely still, but somewhat warm. The kill was fresh. But there was no time to think about that. Was Bearheart still alive?

"Bearheart!" he called to the tom as he stopped dead next to the injured warrior. "Bearheart, stay with me..." Wolfwatcher's fellow warrior looked in extremely bad shape, and it was imperative that he was taken to Cloverfoot at once! But Bearheart was much larger than he, so it would be too difficult to carry him, and more painful for Bearheart in his current state. With that thought, Wolfwatcher took hold of the tom's scruff, gently starting to pull him back to camp.

"Hang in there, buddy," Wolfwatcher murmured through clumps of fur. "Don't go to StarClan on us, ya got that?"

Wolfwatcher's exhaustion was far in the back of his mind at that moment.

Northblaze smiled at her enthusiasm. He knew he was Patchpaw's mentor, but he still had quite a bit of respect for her willing to take on a challengin new aspect of something she wasn't particular fond of or exceptional at. He rose to his paws. He had chosen a move that may be somewhat difficult for him to demonstrate, but Patchpaw's small size should make this move a good one for her. For this move, you had to be quick, and light on your feet. You had to be able to react quickly as well. He gave her a curt nod, happy that she was ready to begin. "Alright. This move is for when you have an enemy behind you, who has decided to give chase. It works best in forested or rocky areas, you'll soon understand why," Northblaze said, getting into position. He turned so he was facing strait ahead, his back legs bunched up and ready to launch into a sprint towards the nearest tree. "You want to sprint as fast as you can towards the nearest solid object, a tree or a large rock works best, and hopefully your assailant won't catch on quick enough," Northblaze paused for a moment to make sure she was still listening. "At the last minute, veer away from the object you chose, which should hopefully make your enemy crash into it. While they are still discombobulated from their crash, turn fast, and get in a few quick strikes," Northblaze explained. "Let me demonstrate," He said, launcing himself forward as fast as he could. He was heading strait for a tree, and right when it seemd that he would crash into it he veered away, and turned quickly to swipe at his imaginary enemy. He padded back over to Patchpaw. "Okay, now if you have no questions, go ahead and try it," Northblaze said, stepping back to give her enough room.
