BTW this is just an opening post..I highly doubt most of my posts will be this long...:p
ZeeZee sat at his desk in the palace, looking over some paperwork. There was a loud knock on one of the large oak doors. He looked up over his glasses. Kei, who was in his place laying at Zee's feet, lifted his head and growled. "Sh." He told the lion, then raised his voice. "Who is it?"
The doors opened and a commander walked in, shoving a person- slave by the looks of it- into the grand room. "This man was caught trying to escape the deer farm to the north." The commander informed the king after a salute. "The guards caught him before he could make it to the woods. We believe he was acting alone."
Zee narrowed his eyes on the man. Lovely. Someone to punish. "I think" He started, enjoying the way the man paled slightly. "we should make him run until his feet bleed. He was running to escape, yes? And after that, he can look after the dogs." The king smiled coldly. "Then the prisons. How does that sound, commander?"
Mia &
ChillMia crouched down and reached her hand out to gently touch a golden-orange flower. "Chill, look-" She cut off and looked behind her. "Chill?" She frowned. Her son was chasing a paniced squirrel in circles.
He wont be N'kar, will he? She thought and smiled, standing up. "Chill, come here. Look what I found."
Chill ran one more circle after the critter, then darted over to his mother, red-tipped hair flying wildly around his excited face. "It's marigold!" He proclaimed, putting his fists to his mouth and staring at the flower.
"That's right. Help me pick some. Careful." Mia said, kneeling back down to the flower. She gently broke off a few stems.
DeftDeft frowned. He was watching Chiorile. The blue tiger kept flapping its wings and roaring pitifully. "I already fed you. What else could you possibly want?" He nudged the tiger with the toe of his boot, and in response, Chiorile rolled onto his back and roared again. "Hm." He had such a strange pet, really.
Deft flicked his tail and turned his back to the tiger. He had more important things to do than listen to his beast moan about something. He left the tiger by the elevator and walked across a bridge to another spot of buildings, which all hung high in the trees.
Where was I going again? Oh, now I have a headache. WhirleWhirle was in the form of a sleek silver cat, dappled with black spots, though even in this form his eyes were still dark blue. He stalked to the end of the tree branch he was on, peering down onto a group of commanders. They appeared bored. He'd been watching them for hours- the tree he was in was on the edge of a southern slave camp, and these were some of the guards. They weren't supposed to all be together, but boredom must have brought them together.
"Tomarrow's my day off." One of them was saying.
"Lucky, I don't get another day off for two months."They were boring Whirle out of his mind, but he was used to commanders' useless babble. He'd remain waiting, either until a shift change, like he was supposed to, or he got some useful information.
